Oh yes, that's a very hot maiden tomorrow, the first at Galway. Elliot's Jetstream Jack, owned by Mrs Whately, was a bit of a talking bumper horse prior to running a stinker in the Champion Bumper, Meades Disko who was second at Punchestown to Bellshill with Cheltenham 2nd Modus in arrears and a couple of others with decent potential in there. The winner will be very, very good but no prices up yet.

Yeah off to my local track Aintree tomorrow so a few pointers would be gladly welcomed to go along with my only fancy Work In Progress.

Really is a tough one to crack because we just don't know how tuned up the horses are and whether they will be at their best (a la Johns Spirit/Wishful Thinking!)

Johns Spirit from memory goes well fresh so I'd go with him although il check the form in the morning

I would say the race is between Wishful thinking, Rajdhani Express and John's Spirit, the issue is trying to work out who is fit enough to run to the best of their form and I think Wishful Thinking is most likely had this as his target where as the other two this may be a warm up for a different target. It's not say they cant win but they may just come on for the run.

    Wishful thinking for me.

I have backed RAJDHANI EXPRESS on his day has shown the best form won the topham here last year. He went off 5/1 2nd fav last year but unseated the good dentist. Can go well fresh and Nickys horses have been running pretty well

im going for the rogue -Duke of Navan -surely he to will be primed for this objective--he has the ability , whether he applies it today is the question -hence the 8/1

Go on the ginge!!! To be honest I think any of the first six in the market could win. Tough race.

Thought I had one earlier in the card but non runners ruined look of the race. Frustrating card at Aintree for me.

Surf and Turf is the outsider of the field in the the feature at Aintree. But at 25/1 he'll be carrying my each way cash. Routed a competitive field at Aintree in April to add to his already very good record at the track, will love the ground and can run well first time up. The extra half mile is an unknown over jumps but he's won over this distance over hurdles and certainly travelled beautifully when he won here in April. Most importantly however he's trained just up the road by Kevin Frost who has around 20 horses in his barn. This one is his stable star so he needs it more than most.

Serious maiden to start him out Oddy. Heard Noel saying a few of his are a few weeks behind and the fact Ruby's there today for the one ride on Elliot's second favorite Jetstream Jack tells me he's certainly been readied for it! One I'm sure who is a long term prospect (over a trip and fences that is) is Mall Dini, he's a big brute of a horse so chasing will be his game. No betting race (or day even) for me just love when these good horses start coming out for these maidens :1980_boogie_down:

Few thoughts for the day -

Wincanton - Knight Ofthe Realm looks really interesting in the first and the market thinks similar today. Nicely bred horse for staying races and I noted previously that the horse needed time to develop, and handicapping would be the game for him. The money on return from a break is very encouraging, and yard had a recent winner. The horses last run in novice company is fascinating given the distance to a 133 rated horse.

Handy Andy, looked in need of the run at Chepstow, and now has change of headgear might sharpen him up further. Getting well handicapped and will come back to the boil soon.

Aintree- Benbens ran very well before blowing up at Chepstow and that should put him spot on for this. I expect them to go and test the stamina of Danimix here.

Splash Of Ginge can win off this mark, but the concern is that one of the field could be well in. This year I think it will be a battle royale and I think that Splash is possibly the one who is fairly handicapped.

Hope Bears Affair runs well earlier in the card, hard horse to keep fit but clearly a talented horse who likes Aintree

Lovely maiden at Leopardstown up next.

Pietro Testa-The 2.5m Guinneas Galileo half-brother to Harbinger is running- as stable second string- to a horse called Bravery.

I suspect these may be two decent animals to interest Derby antepost punters!

Having watched the Racing Post Trophy I think its fairly clear that they arent world beaters so its the maidens to keeyp

Brian 'spoofer' Cooper is beaten on 4/7 shot by Gigitown 2nd string.I really don't see what the hype is about this lad,id have Davey Russell over him anyday if I was owner.

Two class horses there, Noel was right his were bit behind but I wouldn't write Disko off at all. I'll tell whose loving that result though, the mighty mare LIMINI, Archive was a dozen lengths behind her. Limini's maiden, the gift that just keeps giving...
