Interesting runner tomorrow in the form of UKRANIAN STAR 3.10 Hereford 14-1. Blinkers have been left off on his last three runs. He has run below par and cosequently the handicapper has dropped him back to a mark of 99. The last time he ran off 99 he won by seven lengths. Opened earlier at 25-1 but was quickly snapped up while we were napping. A winner over tomorrows Course and Distance and ideally suited by tomorrows conditions. It would be bordering on foolish not to think that he has some sort of chance. At the same track a half hour later HURRICANE HENRY 11-1 has to enter calculations now that his yard is finally firing. First time blinkers and a ten pound claimer up tomorrow should put him right in the reckoning.
Good luck with those Stick. Sad to see Hereford staging its final fixture tomorrow...hopefully someone can save the venue though that looks unlikely with next years fixtures deleted and no racing possible until 2014 at the earliest.
Stick, I like E Street Boy in the 2.10, he was given a pipe opener last time and I think he is on a cracking mark for a run over fences. He is the sort of horse that could carry on improving and I would not be surprised to see him racing off marks in the 120s by the end of the season. Interestingly he has a lot of entries for the next week too, perhaps they see him going out under a penalty too? 8/1 is a worthy price to see if he is a Pipe plot horse
Surprised Imperial Shabra isn't engaged on Sunday. Since Feb 5th,a little over ten months ago,he has raced on 28 occasions
Stablemate One Cool Shabra is obviously a bit delicate having raced only 23 times thus far this calendar year...
DON COSSACK is 8-13 to win today. We dont like backing odds on but that looks like buying money to me. Any thoughts from our Irish experts?
A bad price Stick IMHO albeit he's going to win. Some of us have been banging on about this chap for a couple of years but there's no need to back him at such a short price today.
i will take a big chance today and explain how the fat Northern Jockeys get there rides and hopefully shed some light on some winners or EW returns at Muss 1st Race BPG's Debut over hurdles, Dont be suprised if its a good one , James has schooled himfor ages and in addition has done all his speed work over the last few years so the weight increae is no probs, what is is the ground, if its to soft he wont like it and wont run, he is very much like that, not lazy just stuborn. Same race Hughsey very confident on the fav Lord Wishes and John HENRY Brooke very gd replacement for JM so theres your 1st 3 !!!!!! 2nd Ricjie Mac not on Everard which is a big shock as the bookies make him fav Wilson makes the weights easier and rides softer that RM and everard does like the softer touch but im suprised RM gone to ride one for Dobbin when wilson is there stable jock as such. D'gigi is fit and if there was more than 8 would be a sound EW bet but,,,,, Denid O gets the pick of chris grants yard and David Armstrong is the maun owner in the yard and a big sponser of jockeys through his company NSL North Sea Logistics ( was a fisherman who turned his boats in to delivery boats for the rigs and made a fortune) so why does DO ride for Ferdy !! Im leaving this alone 3rd Hughsy like HARRY THE LEMON DO back for granty, James on for Goldie and John Henry back for Macain Harry the Lemon for me 4th Dennis Wins 5th could be DO again who gets of grantsy for Charlie L but Hughsey does like Docs Legacy 6th same again DO gets off one for Ferguson this time BUT Hughsy does get Wades horse's so this could be a turn of owners preference, and again its betwenn these 2 Alpha One and Monarchs Way Not looked at the bumper but Hughsy normallay gets Karen Macs mounts but looks good on Teo Vio, DO back for granty, not had any thing about the others Hope ive not confused you all stay frosty
Money coming for E Street Boy, all the 8s has gone, and now best price is 6/1 with some as low as 4/1. A good sign for a Pipe horse.
Good old Seabiscut races 35 times as a 2 yo and 23 as a 3yo, before he was sold to someone who knew something about horses. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVT2MPNCqgM
Good luck with BPG Danbo Stick,DC is shorter now since RTW has been scratched. He has looked good and has a hell of a reputation. I suppose the only two issues are his lack of hurdling experience (one run so far in a slow run event) and the unknown, but fascinating,Mullins runner who debuts for the stable and has only his second ever outing in a G1. If neither of these factors concern you......climb in!!!!!
Amazing Cyc...I think there is a live thread relating to modern day racehorse being wrapped in cottonwool. Great archive clip
Think Seabiscuits pilot had used his whip allowance by the first 100 yards!! No hiding place in that match...
Dan mate I wish you all the very best for BPG on his hurdles debut - hope he comes back safe and sound. I'll have a little e/w dabble on him at 12s Could be one of those special Mullins / Walsh days at Navan. Anyone know anything at all about this Pont Alexandre? Very interesting that Ruby has picked him over the other Mullins runner. I might just pop a couple of quid on Ruby to win the first 4 at Navan .......................
Rouge et Blanc also runs in the 2:10, subject of the huge punt last time thanks to stickwise, no money coming today after a 15lb rise, so the money for pipes looks good
