Just a small observation , I have noticed over the last few months the high percentage of winners at good prices where the horse has two AA side by side In the name. Saturday ( today ) Maljaa 5/1 , Adaay 15/2 , Bahaarah 8/1 , mubtaghaa 10/1 ! I have not got a percentage of winners to number of horses with AA running but a small observation , and no I did not back them unfortunately !
You are more likely to find the “AA” occurrence in the names of horse with Arab owners (Arabic names) and they own quite a lot of bloodstock. Adaay lost when I backed it and won as soon as I stopped backing it! Mubtaghaa followers finally collected after three dire showing this year, so I expect that a statistical analysis of your theory would quickly fall flat. Your observation was based on just one day’s racing.
No as I said in my original post Quartermoon I have noticed quite a few winners over the last few months , but yes as you say there are a hell of a lot based on the Arab owners was just a small observation no theory or plan involved pal
As per my previous post Just for a bit of fun there are 4 horses with AA together in their name going today So I'll try my luck on a lucky 15 lol Manaasek 13.00 Deauville Alwaab. 14.08 Deauville Shaakis. 16.20 Pontefract Almaada. 14.40 Dundalk Good lucky all
Two George baker rides I fancy strongly from Lanigans stable at pontefract Almodover 1545 Interception 15.45
Olly's horses have been absolute dog **** this year to put it bluntly, but i really really like Lightning Spear, such a good horse and remains with great potential, money's slowly been coming for him all week too, got him at 12s for the 3:10 Deauville today, and now into 8s best price. Hoping he can bring home the bacon, hopefully Olly can start ending the season on a high too starting today
Off to have a sunny bbq followed by a visit to a beer garden watching horsies and football, what more could you ask for on a Sunday!Anyway four bets for moi to keep things interesting!Hoping one or two of these bad boys come in Ponty 3.45-Irish Raider Alert.Edward Lynam sends Byzantium over the pond and a has a decent chance after finishing second in a decent listed race at Nass lto. This lad aint going over for the fresh air and im going for a win bet at 5/1. Dundalk 4.15-Leane and Keen win 6/1.Even though it was on heavy ground I was impressed with the manner of his 15l victory lto and the handicapper has been kind with just a 3lb rise.If he puts in a similar shift here he should go very close. Over at Tramore I fancy the Mullins double with Upazo and Pearl Diamond at 3s. My footy bets have been shocking so far but going for Arsenal and Man City win double at 4s
Agreed. I think this horse is seriously good and would have pushed Arod much closer on previous start had he not ran into traffic problems. My only concern is the unknown factor of soft ground but being by Pivotal he should cope.
Glad you got nothing nice weather Ste , cloudy and rain here ! Ste a friend of mine from Wicklow has a strong interest in illtakeitfromhere in 16.55 Tramore , told me get on when last winning at Wexford has just text me they expect in to go in again today would be interested in your opinion
Howdy Soba. Was just reading the racing post there and illtakeitfrom caught my eye especially as Jack Kennedy claims 7bls and is a very talented young man who we will hear alot from going forward.Could be worth doing a double with the Mullins beast in the last. Was sunny here this morning but the grey clouds are circling now, typical! How do you see the footy going today mate,Arsenal really need to pull a performance out of the bag or Wenger will be under real pressure.I see that muppet Mourinho was at it again mocking Wengers record, blaming a female doctor last week too, always deflecting criticism away from himself when Chelski dont play well, tosser!
There are limited opportunities on the domestic scene today but I am interested in two Roger Varian runners at Pontefract. In the 4:20, he runs FIRST DREAM with Freddie Tylicki up. He took the horse out of a race yesterday at Ripon, presumably because of the very soft ground. The horse has been raised 6lb for a cosy victory at Epsom last time and with the yard in good form currently, this could be one to follow. The main rival appears to be David Barron’s Swift Emperor with two wins from three career starts. Before that in the 3:45, QUEEN’S PEARL steps up from a facile victory in a Nottingham handicap in a bid to complete a hat-trick in better company. She has a lot to find on the ratings with Wokingham winner Interception, who drops in class after being well beaten in a Group 3 last time, but has fewer miles on the clock than the Lanigan mare.
It is getting very tiresome even from a chelsea fans point of view. Love the guy for what he's done for us, but since he came back he hasn't looked happy at all and has always been moody, grumpy, always something to moan about or someone to blame or an excuse or a dig at someone else, it's just embarrassing and getting really tedious and annoying. The doctor fiasco is shameful too, think he's really feeling the pressure at the moment, he just seems to have lost his mind the last few years, it's like that madrid spell has just broken him
I used to enjoy Jose's ramblings (as a Liverpool fan) but he does seem very rattled. Can only see City/Chelski being a draw.
Mourinho is a fantastic manager but frankly I've grown tired of his complete nonsense. Everything is always someone elses fault, he rarely acknowledges another team may have played well, and makes the same mistakes in Europe that he has always done (not placed enough emphasis on scoring an away goal). Listening to him now just disappoints me to be honest. If he had the ability to be self-critical he could go on to be one of the greatest of all but I think he'll get bored within two years again (especially if he doesn't win a major trophy one season) and bugger off elsewhere.
Yeh respect you thoughts I'm on anyway large single and will have a smaller double with Mullins in last ! , I think you will get a result hope so as not a Mourinho fan ! Shame he lets himself down as he is a fantastic manager , what was the doctor supposed to do referee called med team on . If something seriously wrong and she hadn't attended player she would have been hung out to dry !! Mourinho very shameful he should have been laying into player if he thought he was not injured !! As for result I think you'll get a result wether it will be 3 points would not like to call it pal !
Totally agree top class , I think he likes hearing and seeing his spoilt face in the media (papers , tv ) and that's one of of the main reasons he continues to do it , A child that has not grown up !!
With various trainers threatening not to run their charges in the Prix Jacques le Marois because of the prevailing soft ground, it is very difficult to actually make an assessment of the race. The favourite ought to be 2000 Guineas runner-up Territories; however, Andre Fabre may withdraw him and rely on the five-year-old mare Esoterique. That would still leave Godolphin with two potential winners in Roger Varian’s known mudlark Belardo, who has disappointed so far this term (but has been heavily backed this morning), and Richard Hannon’s Toormore, who I have always felt is best over seven furlongs like last time. Hamdan Al Maktoum’s Estidhkaar has not been seen since the Guineas but his fitness is not taken on trust as much as it is with last year’s Poulains and Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Karakontie who has not raced since last November. Whilst Jonathan Pease has made glowing reports about his stable star’s wellbeing, very soft ground may not be favourable to him. As a three-year-old Esoterique was second in the Pouliches on heavy ground, so she appears to be the one best suited to the conditions even though her only Group 1 win was last year’s Prix Rothschild over course and distance against just three other fillies.
