12:20 What’s The Scoop @5s this horse showed more than he had for a while last time out and yet still drops 5lbs in the handicap. He was right with a good field of 120 horses until 3 out and then he faded. Drops in distance, drops in class and drops in handicap mark. I think Danny Cook will be positive with this big rangy horse and see how he goes over this trip. Yard in better form too and most have taken a couple of runs to get to peak fitness.
Morning all off to Southwell today to watch our fella Top Decision in the 12.40pm race. I have backed him each way at 8s just cause I can't let him go unbacked. Ground has gone against us really so I wouldn't be screaming to back him but we hope he finishes top 3. In the big race there today anyone have any views? I like Getariver and Pink Legend. Any tips welcome..
hi all! southwell,12 10: the problem with this lot is,they all have not won for some time,or even never until now.that applies to my selection CARLO ROCKS too, whose last win is over 4 years ago,but at least,he is quite well treated now,and his yard does often well at this course.so,in a winnable contest,he might not be far away today. carlisle,12 20: LASTIN MEMORIES and warendorf are quite closely matched on their last encounter at hexham in november, where they were second and third respectively, only separated by a neck then, but the former is slightly better off at the weights today,so he might confirm the form.
carlisle,1 20: well, theres not much between the three main protagonists here, but a narrow vote goes to CHAPEL STYLE.hes still lightly-raced for his age,and ran a solid race after a long absence here last time out,and the winner has gone in again since(potentially very useful),so if he doesnt "bounce" today, should go well again..
Desperate day for favourites at Navan. Just watched the Andy Dufresne race and I can't help thinking he (and his jockey) got worried out of it a little? After the horse stepped at the third-last Mark Walsh was immediately very animated (namesake Ruby might have given the horse a few strides to get balanced again) and then seemed to stop riding after the last (maybe squeezed up against the rail a little). Most bookies have pushed Andy Dufresne out for the Ballymore whilst shortening Latest Exhibition for the same race. Paul Nolan's charge is now 2 from 3 over hurdles and has only been bested by Abacadabras, over 2 miles - surely another boost for that horse's credentials and he has been shortened to around 6/1 second fav for the Supreme behind stablemate Envoi Allen.
Agreed Ste - been a few years since he had a good one but I was reading some pre-season interviews with him and he thinks he has some very nice young horses this season. Good luck to him
navan,3 10: all of the major players are open to plenty of improvement here, but a narrow nod goes to DEWCUP,who won really well last time out,and also ran a big race in the big bumper at aintree, form, which is working out pretty well now.so,he could be a class above these.
are you retired jumps fan ? you must watch a lot of racing ! or do you record it and watch at leisure ?
southwell,3 20: i think, this can go to SCHIAPARANNIE.the long absence is a worry, but she had some useful novice form two years ago,and this looks an ordinary enough contest.so,if ready enough, should go very well today.
Did it very easily. Nothing too silly in the next but Court Dismissed could be worth a punt ew. 20/1 (3 places bet365).
no,i actually work in a factory for mentally disabled people, but only half a day,so thats why i am having some time for my passion.and i think,i have a very good mind,so i remember lots of races very well.thats probably the reason, why i enjoy a bit of success doing this..
