Is Fergal oBriens Imperial Eloquence still a goer in the bumper tomorrow, would appear to like the soft better than the sound surface. Also had an outsider 4th in today's bumper and a winning bumper horse elsewhere. If this is indeed thought highly of, the 33s seems generous.
I wrote up Movewiththetimes last week and he was pulled due to the ground, reppears here with softer ground but against 2 of the best horses in the division. Ballandy i think will get the better of Moon Racer - He travelled better and is receiving weight however i think the Nicholls horse will get the better of both of them. The other 2 didn't jump well when they started to rattle and i hope that is where he will show his class. His bumper win received a boost with Cruisaweigh absolutely bolting up recently and on his hurdle debut he looked very green but still doing it very easily.
I like BAGSGROOVE in the bumper has shown consistency in his last 3 months, the form is rock solid with horses behind him coming out and winning, with the time off he's had would have done him some good and hopefully turned him in to an even better horse!
he has struck before in these listed bumpers with big priced horses - stable still under the radar , thankfully , the only clue that doesn't fit is paddy b is on the other runner poetic rhythm , but Conor shoemark rides winners for the yard so maybe a cheeky r/f !!!
YES I got the distinct impression today that Neil Mulholland was a tad unhappy at losing Fox Norton and was almost throwing the gauntlet down to Tizzard to say "see if you can make him any better than me mate". Time will tell.
WHAT ABOUT CARLO 28/1 WOLF OF WINDLESHAM 33/1 MAHLERS STAR 33/1 Eway trixie for me and good luck all!!
My only concern with Ballyandy would be how he got badly outpaced coming down the hill in the Champion Bumper. If that happens again today then Moon Racer (who looks a nippier, speedier type) could be home and hosed. No bet race, watch and enjoy.
He won a decent handicap against handicap horses but was very well in on the weights aswell, today is a whole different kettle of fish, you have a proven graded horses and one horse who was a potential superstar but who could still be that superstar. He has to give weight away and has always come up short last year in graded races and never seemed competitive in them either really. Winning a handicap when getting weight and winning even a graded race like today's which u could argue doesn't look as strong are two different things
