Put her up last week and she duly delivered and im going to do the same again this weekend. Moonlight Cloud 2.45 Deauville Only ever been beaten once at deauville and that was in this race last year but didnt get a good run at all until flying home too late in the day. She won effortlessly last week and i can see her staying on strongly to take this. Im not convinced Intello is as good over a mile and just might not have the pace for this, and dawn approach will run his race as always but had a hard race at goodwood and that race showed that he is beatable over a mile. Elsewhere over in Ireland it looks like another Aiden O'Brien benefit day at The Curragh where i expect War Command and Tapestry will both win comfortably.
3.10 Windsor. Miliika. Needed comeback run last week. Now put in an easier race and should come on a lot. Jockey Catlin very much in form at present. Big win bet.
GAELIC ICE 10-1 Windsor 4,40 is a monster price in a perfect each way betting heat. The favourite, in my opinion, will not stay and is far too short and most of the others are better on the all weather. This boy represents good value.
Dont know how the ground looks over there but surely Olympic Glory is a monster price? Scrub the last run on heavy ground and hes only been beaten once by Dawn Approach on only his 2nd run by 3/4 L. Had a nice break since the last run and i reckon we'll get the front 2 from the Coventry Stakes last year fighting it out again. 14/1 or 11/4... i know which 1 im backing. Good Luck all - Off to Ibiza for a week in the morning so wont find out the result until i come back!
Is apparently good ground over there tward. I was heavily on Moonlight cloud last week, but this is a lot harder. Think i will keep my powder dry and just watch tomorrow.
I agree with you. Andre Fabre described Intello as "exceptional" so you got to stand up and take notice whenever he rates a horse so highly, but I have my doubts how effective he is over a mile so Moonlight Cloud is the percentage call. I'd be prepared to lay Dawn Approach on the exchanges but I rarely place these type of bets. Anyone knows where can I watch the race online?
Richard Hughes looks to have a real chance of going through the card at Windsor today 7 out 7 might be worth small acca
All but one of his mounts are favourites (Mont Blanc in the last, makes her debut for Jane Chapple-Hyam, might prefer softer going but will be well backed if Richard wins the first six!),
London man, I got a few links I use, I'm sure one will work. Will put it up later, on mobile at the mo
Shafrah makes it's debut in the 2.25 at Leicester for Richard Hannon, is entered in the Middle Park and Dewhurst. But Torrid has the best form. Thanks hawkeye.
Has it's first start for Alan Berry, ran in a Group 3 last season. For sure I won't discount in what looks like a open race.
A question - Who do you think is the worst trainer of a horse that currently holds a license? And which "big" trainer do you not rate? (and conversely the best and which small trainer do you rate the most)
What a race in France in prospect, so many question marks over the top 3 in the market. Is Dawn Approach heading to one battle too soon? Does Intello need a couple of extra furlongs to show his worth? Would Moonlight Cloud prefer a furlong less? I think IF, and it's a big IF, Dawn Approach is at concert pitch today he should win this. Obviously being so soon after his Goodwood exertions and factoring in the travel there seems enough to suggest he may just be shy of his optimum today and that won't do against this field. I also thought and I may be in the minority here, that he looked slightly underpar at Goodwood, not to take anything away from Toronado who looked unbeatable on the day. The way Manning went after him so early in the straight to just get him past the pacemaker makes me think that was not Dawn Approach at his mighty best. I wonder will he be today though? With him turning out so quick it may be safe to assume he is at his best but I wonder how much influence the owners had in persuading Jim Bolger to run him here, like they obviously had in the Derby? Jim Bolger would not have ran him at Epsom if he had sole ownership, I'd be pretty certain of that but is today the same scenario? I do wonder.
At Leicester 2.25 the boys in blue are expecting Istimraar 9/4 will take a lot of beating today, good luck
