    First half thoughts so far...

We seem to be playing alot more attacking football. The amount of chances we have been creating have probably been more in this game than the whole of Bruce's season thus far. The only thing missing... the end product. Robinson had a brilliant save from Richo, who tbf was probably as surprised as we were that the defender completely messed it up and let it get to him. Explains why there was a touch, not simply a boot into the back of the net.

Sess is our main attacking threat. He has created all the best chances and is running around defenders, taking them on, tricking them, the works. Just need a striker to put them away. We need Noble on. He will be in the right place at the right time. Bramble is starting to show confidence the more the match goes on. He made a few howlers, but the crowd are cheering him on, and its working on the big man. Brown is handling Yakubu better, Bramble gives him to much space. Almost a penalty when he was brought down, but he was given the benefit of the doubt.

Westwood has been good... apart from that attempted clearance where he went into the back of Yakubu and got the foul. He shouldnt have put the save from the goal into the center of his box, should have put it over the goal.

You can see what MoN is trying to do already. We are using the wings alot more, and crossing it into the box. He is still trying to get the ball to Wickham, who is being shut out by Samba.

All up, second half will be good. We are creating the chances, and have better possession. Just time to put it in the net.

Is Noble on the bench? Get him on instead of Rico

    Agreed.
To the OP. That bloody first half sums up 40 odd years of following Sunderland.
