According to Twitter West Ham are interested in Fabio Quagliarella now, so we probably would be a second choice compared to them. We are still interested in signing N'doye, but I don't see anything new in the news.
I would like a creative midfielder that links midfield to our attacking players or wingers.
I would be happy to stick with what we have now and see what happens - with confidence.
We don't have any wingers do we? I know carrabuh is expecting us to sign a couple (in particular the tall, lanky type) which is presumably why he is predicting that Snoddy will be a bench player by Christmas, but as far as good old fashioned getting to the bye line and crossing from wide is concerned, I think any of that will be left to the full backs. But I agree the priority now is a linking midfielder (unless there are real injury concerns with regard to Bassong and/or Turner, in which case we also need another CB).

This has been the transfer season everything changed. I never thought we'd be in a position to gazump people and attract international players with ambition. Can't wait to get going now.

Haha I'm just happy we've signed "target man" Gary hooper

err, hooper is anything but a target man!
or are you yanking our chain for comedic effect and i've not 'got it'...
Beefy was just getting into the spirit of it .....
as i understand it, hooper is going to be getting a pay rise of around £10k a week to join norwich - just shows how difficult it is for celtic to keep their best players when premier league clubs come in for them. he'll be on just under £30k a week by the way.
but that's not the best bit - according to one scottish journalist qpr were set to offer more than £40k a week! they never learn, do they...![]()
£40k a week in Championship. Wow.
The way they are being run will bite them in the arse one day.
So who here thinks we have a squad to run with? and who thinks we still have some gaps in our squad?

I'm no defender of QPR but if their wheels are not to fall of completely they need to be promoted this coming season. If spending £40k/week on a top striker does the business then it is small change compared with having another three seasons worth of big Sky money. It is a gamble certainly but is it more of a gamble to risk staying down with the huge wage bill of their existing WCT players hanging over the club like a millstone. Put in context I guess on £40k/week Hooper would be a middle earner there?

I know the position might not be number one but if the money is there I'd be very tempted to match Cardiffs bid for Capoue
may be too similar to leroy fer?
