This is becoming an issue. By trying not to get ripped off teams are just saying **** off to us. The clubs know we have money so are holding out for top dollar.
We seem to be walking away from deals because of it. Rightly in my opinion but we are losing out on deals.

But just assuming that article is accurate the writer says Leeds put a value of £35.7M on Harrison and ends by saying the offer needs to be at least £28M which is approximately 20% lower than Leeds alleged valuation.

In reality no one knows the size of our bids or what info is used to determine those bids or how far off the Selling Club’s valuation the bid is. Therefore click bait article.

No we don’t really know. But all the news articles appear to be saying the same thing in general.

That we are being put off by unrealistic high transfer fees. It doesn’t appear that it’s the players themselves that are saying no.

Here’s a separate article quoting more or less the same thing. Both could be using the same bullshit source mind.

How much are people going to value ASM? I’ve seen our fans say £50m yet Jack Harrison has proven himself more productive in terms of goals and assists than ASM. If ASM is £50m then JH in theory is more

Who knows really, but release clauses and the actual price you pay can be some distance apart

except wood of course which was out of desperation really

Apparently Harrison has a 35m release clause but that could be bollocks too.

ASM is over hyped and over valued for me. The only reason I think he’s valued higher is because he gets bums off seats. He is exciting to watch
And frustrating at the same time.

As you say though Harrison’s stats appear better. But he is far better than Miggy Murphy and Fraser.

Give them £30m and Murphy, simple.

We don't need to be told by journalists the owners and the manager have given us enough information.

5 to 10 years patience, foundations, not interested in players that don't understand what it means to play here.

It was. His previous 4 seasons stats suggested he was a goalscorer but even when we bought him he was having a poor season in comparison.

5 goals in 34 games. But he did contribute in other ways which helped us survive.

I know people say stats are a load of bollocks and they are. But as a striker myself (I was leet) I always judged myself on goals scored.

Hence why I ain’t a PL striker.

Players won’t understand until they have played for us though!

Howe said it’s difficult and they are working on things as we stand. So we may still get some players in.

Players say what they get told today.... Newcastle is a good place to play, but it's nothing but a project to players looking for a bigger badge.
