Might be way off on this but I do wonder if the result of the playoff final tomorrow will have an impact on Eze's price.

If Brentford don't win then they will sell Benrahma and PL clubs looking for a good attacking midfielder from the championship are choosing between Eze and Benrahma. We will need more genuinely interested clubs to start a proper bidding war. Brentford and Benrahma go up, and Eze is the best/only option for WHam, Palace etc.

Just supposition but who knows.
I would agree Raving. Though it is good to see interest in reading across EPL clubs now with Palace, West Ham and West Brom being highlighted now, (and who knows if any others will register any interest - it’s still early days). £12m offer was belly-aching laughable though; along with some saying £16m will seal the deal.

The Daily Star (I know, I know) has reported interest from Arsenal too. Would love to see him play for a bigger side.

Time will tell - we've no idea what an acceptable price will be to the club. Public pronouncements are one thing, but the reality may be different

What we really need is some serious competition for Eze's signature, not just media (And fan) speculation

The problem with going to one of the "bigger" clubs for him will be his chance of breaking into the first team and getting a chance to prove himself. I'd hate to see him stuck in some reserves somewhere, then dished out on loan all over the place (unless it's back to us). His next move needs to be to somewhere where he can showcase his talents on the bigger stage and prove he's worthy of a move to on of the big boys - which is why we must have a sell-on clause in his contract.

Right, Arse sign him £25 million, plus 50% sell on clause. Loan him back to us for the season. We get promoted and buy him back for £30 million, so we pay £2.5. And I've not had a cider yet.

Fair point. I do want to see him play!

Say that to Luke Freeman.

Alfie Mawson joins Fulham from Swansea for 20m........

Yep that's 20m for a lumbering centre half....

Shakes head....

The step up to PL football was probably too much for him - only making 11 appearances all season goes to show he made the wrong choice. I think Eze is a different class of player, but he has to think very carefully where he goes if he's not to fall into the same trap as Freeman, or Smithies for that matter, and sit on a bench somewhere.

Freeman had to take the chance at his age. Eze is good enough to go anywhere and back himself to get in the team quickly.

Don’t think it’s impossible at all for a really big club to take a chance on him at relative peanuts and loan him to a Palace/West Brom until Jan.
