It’s a bewildering path isn’t it. But, as has been said, young players who want to improve and get good deals In the future will be looking at us as a viable possibility. Also some very good parting comments from Hugill about the club structure, culture, management team and fans is always good marketing for the club (and so refreshing for us fans to hear too).
Amos is definitely a conundrum. MW will be laying his judgement out there if he goes for him, so he (MW) will need to show/prove to everyone what he is seeing in him to have him back again (I’m uncertain for sure). It will be increasingly interesting to see who does come in as our top players begin to move to ‘higher ground’. A delicate balancing act for sure; and only three weeks before players are back training, so the management will need to be on their toes early on.

I don't really get it either, but I (and many others) didn't see BOS coming this good this quickly either, or Eze stepping up as phenomenally as he did. Let's hope we can be surprised again.

Coronavirus: Budget airline AirAsia's future in ‘significant doubt’

The future of Asia's biggest budget airline, AirAsia, is in “significant doubt”, auditor Ernst & Young has said.

Shares in the Malaysian-based airline fell by more than 17% on Wednesday after being halted earlier in the day.

The airline’s founder and chief executive is tycoon Tony Fernandes, who also co-owns Queens Park Rangers (QPR) football club in the UK.

The world's airlines have been hit hard by the sharp fall in passengers due to strict coronavirus travel restrictions.

Ernst & Young highlighted the airline’s huge debts in a statement to the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange late on Tuesday.

It said AirAsia’s current liabilities already exceeded its current assets by 1.84bn ringgit ($430m; £340m) at the end of 2019, before the start of the pandemic.

The Asian carrier’s financial performance and cash flow have been further hit by the grounding of its planes amid tight travel curbs and lockdowns.

This slump and AirAsia's financial performance "indicate existence of material uncertainties that may cast significant doubt on the Group's and the Company's ability to continue as a going concern," Ernst & Young said in its unqualified audit opinion statement.

On Monday, AirAsia reported a record quarterly loss of 803.8m ringgit. The budget airline started suspending flights in late March.

"This is by far the biggest challenge we have faced since we began in 2001,” Mr Fernandes said in a statement.

“Every crisis is an obstacle to overcome, and we have restructured the group into a leaner and tighter ship."

"We are positive in the strides we have made in bringing cash expenses down by at least 50% this year, and this will make us even stronger as the leading low-cost carrier in the region,” he added.

AirAsia said it was in talks over joint ventures and collaborations that may result in additional investment. It has also applied for bank loans and is weighing proposals to raise additional capital.

Interesting reading through the last few pages that there seems to be as much, if not more, chat about BOS than about Eze. I wonder if some of the bigger teams are drawn by the power and strength that BOS posses. Eze, on the other hand, has some silky skills that makes him a joy to watch, but as we have seen from others in the past, silky skills in the Championship don't always translate into silky skills in the Premiership. It could be better for Eze to move to a league where the pace is a bit slower and he is given a bit more time on the ball to show his skill.

Eze is very quick with his use of the ball and will do OK in the premiership in the right team
BOS has never ever done anything quick with the ball so will fail. It’s him who needs a foreign league

There are rumours of interest in Eze from many PL Clubs - Tottenham, Palace, West Ham, Southampton and now Leeds at least have been named.

I think its mainly because there has been actually contact and a deal for BOS was close, the Eze stuff so far is still all still rumour mill?

One year left as opposed to two for Eze and thus available on the cheap.

I expect some Prem teams wouldn’t have a clue where to put Eze either which is why I hope/think he won’t go to Palace as Hodgson will probably put him in goal.

The most obvious one being the Ray Wilkins year when he sold Ferdinand, spent a third of the money on Ned ****ing Zelic and the rest I can't even remember and we were fooked.

As manager Wilkins colluded with the then owners to asset strip the club. This is why the reputation of probably the greatest midfielder to ever grace Loftus Road is forever tarnished in my eyes. I certainly don't see anything similar happening at the moment, quite the opposite if anything with billions wasted on 'the dream' but still continuing to support the club in response to their mistakes.

West London Sport reporting that we're keen to take Amos on a permanent deal.

Personally I don't see why we would go for that as he has been average at best this year, but then again, you look at the progress of some of the players this year, factor in that this is Amos' first season back from a very serious injury, and have to trust MW's belief in his potential a little bit. Not many predicted BOS was going to be this good 18 months ago, maybe we'll be saying the same about Amos before long.

No amount of injury will turn you into one of the most ludicrously negative players I have ever had the misfortune to see. I have also seen very little sign that he has any real footballing talent (no vision, can't play simple balls to feet, can't take players on, can't/won't tackle, can't shoot, doesn't take free kicks, etc, etc). I genuinely have no idea what anyone at the club can see as his potential other than the rep value of coming from Spurs.

I would also take that...Chair and Eze seemed to have difficulty playing together, so I am hoping Chair will flourish when Eze has been sold.
I believe Amos could develop into a very steady player behind Chair

The deal I am looking for would be 20million plus Amos plus Clarke (assuming no health issues).

Because Clarke also needs a hand on his shoulder, a few games from the subs bench....and then a match like Birmingham away.....and he will be like BOS
