never been a fan of his. Neat passing side to side but zero end product. Maybe a slightly better Elneny in my book but without the tenacity.

Mind you this was just watching him up for the abject portuguese side

Sometimes a player needs a change of scenery. He won't be the only player to fail at Barca, or be the last.

The point Im making is he was good enough for Barca to consider him the guy to take over from Iniesta/Xavi... and he' still 24.

Could be a huge bargain as lazarus points out there have been many players that failed at Barca/Real and gone on to excel elsewhere.

He's very much a forward passer... and for sure he's better than Elneny.

Seems like Gomes is on. A lot of negativity surrounding the potential move. Can't comment as I've not seem him play enough but he's not highly rated at all. Seems to be a more physical player that doesn't fit in with the Barca way.

Maybe - he's actually quite a silky player. Technically good, quick and he's a big lad.

I think for the money its a good signing - if he plays the way he did in Valencia he'll be worth 3 times what we pay for him.

Also shows that Emery really values some height in midfield next to Torreira. We've been linked to Nzonzi, Fellaini, Rabiot and signed Guendozi. He wants some balance - something that Wenger didnt seem to care about.

    Personally like the signing!

Have to wonder what's hapening with Ramsey though - hasnt signed a new contract yet and we are being linked to yet more midfielders.

to be honest, I wouldnt be that bothered if we moved him on. I dont really think hes been that consistent apart from his 13/14 season. would I want him to stay? probably just for continuity sake, and to see what he looks like under Emery. However, I think he is replaceable.

No he hasnt been consistent. At all - he clearly has confidence issues. But he's still 24.

I dont mind us signing players that have potential which he does.

Probably do well under Poch to be fair.

Also what is Poch's deal with giant midfielders? he's assembling a basketball team .

I'm not so sure... let's just say I wouldn't complain if we got him at the cut price... I wouldn't cry if we lost out on him. I am ambivalent at this point.

    Leon Bailey being linked now.

Yes please! great young player. Would prefer Dembele of course but Bailey is 20 can play on either wing and has ridiculous pace.

Todays rumour is that Barca are apparently interested in Ramsey and would consider the Welshman plus cash for Dembele.

Personally would like to keep Ramsey he's a very good player but... Dembele is a higher level talent. He's potentially one of the best players on the planet. If we can sign him then its a no brainer.

This would be one hell of an exciting foward line.

    Dembele------Ozil---------Mkhitarian
    ------------Aubamayang----------------

Wouldn't mind getting rid of Ramsey if that were the case. He's an average player who has the odd good game but is way too inconsistent for me. Would take Dembele in a heartbeat and it solves one of our longstanding problems at RW.

Can't believe they would be trading Dembele for Ramsey plus cash. Ramsey is a good player but I don't believe any of these rumours. His performances don't match the apparent interest from an elite club like Barca. There is also apparent interest from Chelsea as well but where are the bids?

What I do believe is Ramseys agent is trying to get a better contract deal from us, as the reality is no top club is really after him or willing to pay £110k+ a week.

After Wilshere leaving without much fuss, I can see the hierarchy doing the same with Ramsey. The management isn't complacent as before and will get a replacement quickly if necessary. At bloody last.

Are Arsenal prepared to break the bank, or looking for a 20m one season loan? Erm??

Was just about to post that

Really pleased about this. Iwobi is a really dangerous player imo. He still needs work to become the finished article, but whenever he's on the pitch he gets defences turned around and running towards their own goal, which is always a good thing. I think he can become a better version of Oxlade-Chamberlin personally, but this is a big season for him
