martial is but a pipe dream. No way would United let him go - and certainly not to us.

I think Barcelona will step up their pursuit of Bellerin this Summer.

With Wenger leaving it may be hard to keep hold of him.

Arsenal are set to sign Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg, according to the chairman of the defender's former club Altinordu.

The 21-year-old moved to the Bundesliga club in 2016 and has since established himself as one of the most promising centre-backs in Germany, prompting reported interest from several Premier League clubs.

Seyit Mehmet Ozkan claims Arsenal have beaten Bayern Munich to Soyuncu's signature, though, saying the Gunners have already been in contact with Altinordu as part of the process.

"Caglar Soyuncu is set to join Arsenal," he said at the International Football Economic Forum on Thursday. "Arsenal asked for his youth information from us. We'll make money from the moment the transfer goes through.

"Bayern Munich want him, too, but he's on his way to the Premier League."

Soyuncu signed for Freiburg two years ago for a reported fee of €2.65million, and has made 49 appearances in the Bundesliga.

The Turkey international, who has won 13 senior caps for his country, has been compared to Bayern star Mats Hummels.

Looks like Minislat has unearthed another quality youngster. I'm quite excited to see who we sign in the next few years.
Arsenal fans will want us to be signing 'big names' this Summer but I think this youth approach is the best direction for a club like Arsenal.

Dortmund and Athletico have both shown in recent years how a good scouting system can compete with a vast transfer budget.

Especially if there's any truth in this £50m budget that keeps being thrown around

Getting linked again with Nzonzi. (previously worked with Emery at Seville)

He's been quality for the last 3 Seasons. 6'5 athletic and technically sound - just the kind of player we need.

Looking like the first signing of the Emery era is going to be Stephan Lichsteiner on a free from Juventus.

Adequate backup, but turning 35 in January so not much to get excited about...

He will be backup to Bellerin. We have only 1 RB so we need to get cover ASAP. Plus he offers experience and intelligence, and for a free, what more could you want? Not like we are blessed with options.

Been a great player over the years. Not a bad signing IMO - Will probably be second choice to Bellerin will offer the side experience and leadership.

Funny thing was I was having a discussion with a gobby Pool supporter, who apparently is well knowledgeable about football, tell me that our Goalies Opina and Cech are way way worse than Karius. I cannot wait to ask him the same question when next I see him! Cech may be old, I would still trust him over Karius.

If we could pull that off it would be the scoop of the decade. That attacking line up would be up there with the best in Europe.

Are we basically going to raid Dortmund for all their players or former players?
