With Djilali and Magri gone we have 3 coming in a striker and 2 midfielders - Bogdanovich, Russel & Ertl Plus Appy is eyeing up 2 more defenders - so it may not be all quiet on the western front.
We've just signed Josh Thompson - a young centre back latterly of Celtic but he's been out on loan to Rochdale, Peterborough & Chesterfield. He is also on a one-month deal. Not sure if we were hearing about him coming on loan before, but because of the 6month loan rule in Scotland it has taken longer to sort things out. New Info: He tore up the final year of his contract with Celtic to enable the contract with Pompey to go ahead. This must be a "permanent" move for him then.
The one that is interesting me at present is Billy Sharp to Forest from Saints - weird move as didn't he only go to Southampton in January for somewhere around the £5m mark?
Yes he did. Scored against us as well. The other interesting one is Nicky Maynard from West Ham to Cardiff. He turned down a £6m move to Leicester from Bristol City last year because he wanted to play in the Prem and after just a few months he's back in the Championship.

Interesting to see a Championship club like Blackburn spending £8m on Rhodes also - that is a massive risk for them surely? Is it the highest transfer fee paid by a second tier club ever?
Blackburn ownership is as potty as ours.............. Their intention is to go straight back up to the Prem so maybe that's why they're still paying big. Either that or their new Chairman is bonkers.
Funny - but there's been no confirmation of the Daniel Bogdanovic signing - unless they are waiting for international clearance before announcing it - but it's gone very quiet on that front.
I suppose we could have let you borrow Sharpe but it would be unfair on the lad to get to know 10 new team mates every other week and then watch any points accumulated removed again and again by the league
