Short thread as I can't be bothered to type to much! Basically who do you think we should be looking to bring in during the summer transfer window? Realistic names obviously.
Here's my list! Daniel Bentley Nathan Byrne Matt Targett - Loan Nick Powell - Loan Will Grigg Chuba Akpom - Loan
Jets the enigma for me.. Does Cotts say do a pre-season with us and get fit or does he invest elsewhere? I love him when he's at it but I understand why Cotts won't make him first choice!
A Matt Smith is scoring goals for Fulham in the championship, he done it with Leeds. I don't buy this target man not required against the defenders in the Championship. If that's true Crouch, Drogba and Giroud would be ****ed if they came down.
Goal scoring forward Better version of Marlon Pack (the lad that plays for Swindon possibly?) Left sided centre back
I liked the look of that Gladstone what ever his name is and also their right back, make my day raid that poxy club of their better players
Matt Smith Andy Williams ( if Swindon don't go up) A goalkeeper. Not got anyone in mind but we need competition for Frankie.
Always been a big fan of Pack, he can pick a pass, he's disciplined in his positioning and has great energy, but I noticed against Swindon he was just not capable of tracking williams closely enough, he cruised past him several times with very little effort. I'm now not so sure he won't get found out at a higher level? it might just have been a glitch he can train out?? I hope so, I like him.
Unlike the other Saville that you used to visit regurly Wasn't it Gladstone that was just gliding past Pack?
Wouldn't mind seeing us go in for Tavs but Wigan bought him for 1 million last year and have just (pretty much) been relegated, so I can imagine a few of there better players are going to leave and they might want to keep Tavenier with his track record of getting promoted twice from league 1 in consecutive seasons.

We all assume that Cotts will go for the ones we know like Smith. However, we didn't expect Wilbs or Smith (either one), or Little. We didn't expect that Fielding would claim the jersey, or that he would contribute in such a commanding fashion, or that Flint would become our man for all season like he has. Many things have been a surprise this term, and isn't that nice - a bit like a surprise on Christmas Day. Expect a few more I think...
I think we will still be forced financially to operate with a smallish squad, so whoever comes in has to be significantly better than what we have, so wouldn't expect loads of arrivals without departures. I think we will have to use the loan market to top up the squad.
There will be quite a few departures. Think we'll see Richards, Osborne, El-Abd, Burns(Maybe), Reid, Elliott all move on with Tavenier and Saville returning to their clubs. So that's 8 players leaving us with a dangerously thin side. We won't even be able to name a full match day squad with what's left. I can see us signing 4 or 5 permanent players and getting 3 on loan. Unlike last time in the championship our squad will be built on quality not quantity
The young players left are not good enough for championship football,as you say i think it will be time to move then on,Bryan being the only one able to step up,hopefully he can improve on going pass players,if he can he will be a fantastic player.
What is the formula which determines the squad size. I understand the FFP principles but not why many smaller clubs seem to have bigger squads. I find the whole Bristol Sport model confusing
