Someone mentions on the Boro thread that Wilder basically played him as a target man so he never stood a chance there.
He seems to have everything we need in a cf for our system it's just getting his attitude in check and keeping him motivated, I sense a one year deal with a club option of a further year

I'm assuming it'll be today or tomorrow for the announcement if he arrived on Sunday and was at the AOL on Monday

For anyone interested I did seek some Hull opinions here:

Mixed bag, most saying he's talented but that it's a risk. Basically the conclusion we'd mostly already come to anyway.

Middlesborough are less complimentary but it's just a weird thread in general (mostly about xG) to be honest:

I’m not really concerned about his attitude. It will either be good or bad, if it’s bad I think his life here will be short and sweet with a swift goodbye.

I was concerned as I know it really doesn't take much to disrupt a pretty harmonious group and team spirit can be a fragile thing, one bad apple and all that. Having said that, we do have a strong group so I do take reassurance from the suggestion that the dressing room just won't stand for any shenanigans, also despite everyone citing his bad attitude, I'm yet to actually see any detail as to what is meant by that and how it manifests. It has been known that players that may not be the most professional have actually been great for a dressing room (maybe a bit of a throwback though).

Too many unknowns and based on that and this regime's record to date, I'm more than happy to have faith that they know what they're doing.

Just googled Connolly and looks a cranking player when fit. Knows where the net is alright. I couple of interviews with coaches and seemed he had a very bright future and also he is popular in the dressing room. I wonder why he didn't stay at Hull ? Hope we take a chance and he sorts out whatever the issues are. If not I think if we end up looking for another striker in January. Clubs will be trying to pull our pants down again. So could be a good move.
