Yeah no mention of our bid being accepted or rejected, the main part of the tweet is the invitation for other clubs to bid.

I do think it'll be us vs Sheff Utd. I don't think Stoke will go that high and Norwich won't unless Sargent goes.
I doubt we will even be interested in him.

Doubt we’ll get Cannon. Bid leaking is likely just to start an auction. But nice to see.

Think this is interesting. Apparently Leeds aren't going to go back in for him but surely they don't bid without some encouragement from the player/agent. Lowball fee to unsettle a promotion rivals best player is also amusing.

Doesn't really make sense, Sheff United paid Coventry 15m last season, so they'd be taking a 2m loss and selling probably the best attacking midfielder in the division to a direct promotion rival

Couple of thoughts though:
- Are Leeds playing on Sheff U's financial position? Do they think they need to sell to balance the books?
- Are Leeds scatter gunning after selling all their best players?

Just seen Phillip Billing is leaving Bournemouth before the window closes. Can't see him getting a prem move. Abroad or championship, he'd be a quality signing for any championship side

I'm not that fussed on Mendy.
Weirdly, I want him more than Cannon tbh. Been trying to think who he reminds me of on the clips that’s making me really want to see him in red and white. Just realised who it is. Yakubu. Stocky, powerful, puts his foot through virtually every chance. Love a striker like that:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Maybe it’s me hoping but I really think because Sheff utd wanted a loan to buy, Stoke don’t want to pay the fee and want a loan. Norwich meh and Luton meh

I really think the fact we haven’t ****ed about and we’ve tabled an offer worth 5m will make Leicester accept. Or at least make us the strongest team to get him

do they need to sell for PSR?

i dont know why, but I'm no longer overly keen on him, his stock for me has dropped mentally since last summer.
Not sure his stock has dropped considering the price is similar to what he went for last summer and promotion challengers are after him. I do think the move the Leicester was poor for him and a loan would've been better but Everton weren't going to turn down that money. Injury didn't help either.

So i'd say his stock has stagnated rather than dropped. Would still be all over the signing if it's a real possibility.

Same here

Some have went on like he’s unbelievable, despite probably never watching him over

Yakubu spent most of his time walking around from memory. We need forwards that are busy and looking to cause problems.

Think we will offer 5 rising to 7 as that is the asking price.

Norwich - only if they sell Sargent

Sheff utd - need to sell

Luton - possibly but they wanting a new stadium

Luton also have 2 very good championship CFs so he's unlikely to start for them. Best chance of starting would appear to be us at the minute
