There is a way to get what you want in football, and in my opinion this isnt it. It is only my opinion of course. He and his agent clearly see it differently. If he joins and gives his all he will have my support, but there will be a nagging doubt on behaviour if there is another move he wants in 2 years and doesnt get what he wants.
I’m finding it hard to believe you’ve read what actually happened mate.

Mendy and his advisors should have got something in writing and didn’t.

I love that the lad wants to play for us but think it’s a bit **** of him doing what he’s doing. Imagine if Clarke had done this to us at the start of this season, saying we’d promised we’d accept a premier league offer etc

Also think it helps early season when the pitches are still in a better condition as like you say were more than capable of out playing them, same intensity, same pressing, manage that for first 20 without them having any real chances & they hopefully will be at a loss....we have just done it to a kuch better side in Burnley, players will be buzzing & hopefully a few additions by end of week

Quite agree mate. I think the only thing that might beat us is complacency. I hope we don't think we've beaten Burnley, so we just have to turn up.

I can imagine Regis' hardest job this week will be to keep the players feet on the ground.

We'll miss Neil, but we've got a very able deputy in Browne alongside 2 real stars of the future, a so far water-tight defence and a very fluid front 5. I would suggest that Pompey have a lot more to be worried about than us.

Surely you are advocating that’s what KLD should be doing after he’s promised them a helping hand to step up and then changing his mind. Basically one of the main reasons players are coming here.

I reckon we’ve made it clear to players we will accept good offers for them - like he have with Clarke. Selling Clarke like we have will reduce our chances doing a Mendy on us!

What do you think if KLD said no you aren’t going now I’ve changed my mind, I’m sure Jackie would be over the moon and would play his heart out for us. Well that’s at least what some people think.

Depends which way you look at it mate, obviously you as a good Catholic lad think anything is a lie. Me as a bad Catholic lad, thinks it was just a poor excuse. Better to be ignorant than think what the **** did I do that for?
So he was telling porkies? :emoticon-0102-bigsm
