Would absolutely take Archer, scored something like 13 goals for boro and they only had him on loan from the January, but think there's zero chance he drops to the championship, he's way too good for this league, hence the clubs that are after him

If we could come away with anything over £6m after West Ham take their cut i'd sell Ekwah. That may seem low but at this point I feel like we just need a bit of money to come in.

As long as we put a sell on clause into the deal we'll be covered if he turns into a top player.

I'm not convinced Ekwah can improve. His attitude seems wrong to me - doesn't work hard enough off the ball.

Would need to be an £8.6 million pound deal if it’s 30% sell on to make 6 mil

Makes sense to sell Ekwah. I just don’t see him getting many opportunities this season. Neil is the captain and Browne, Jobe and Rigg must all have been given assurances that they will get plenty of minutes. I quite like Ekwah but if we get offered £7-8m for someone who is on the bench, it makes sense to take it

I think we could get them to that figure. Disappointing because that Luton playoff first leg performance is one of the best i've seen.
I agree. I often see a player be so impressive in a game you think he is an absolute star. Only for them to struggle to get to that level regularly or consistently. It remains a mystery, and I think can only be a mental thing. It felt like Ekwah was building up to that performance and that Mowbray was unlocking the mental side of Ekwah, having been quite open about his laidback nature in his first couple of months. Then we saw this elite level performance. If he had maintained anything like that last season he would have gone to the prem for £25m this summer imo.

Has all the physical and technical attributes for the modern midfielder. But as you say it's all mental with Ekwah, once he learns how to be at it every game he'll be excellent but I'm undecided on if that will ever happen.

Italy would suit him.

Had a slow start when he came in but really got going towards the run in, as you say that Luton game but also for me the Preston game on the last day. Started last season well but not got back to that since he got that whallop against QPR.

I thought he looked a stand out midweek mind, there's definitely something there but we have to sell to improve and can't be scared to move people on.

We all would, but why would he come here? Doubt he’s dropping to the championship again but even if he did there’s plenty of other clubs ahead of us in the race.

To be fair, Leeds are running at an £90m transfer profit this summer before this latest sale and have already shifted two expensive left wingers. If they were interested in Clarke you’d expect they’d have been in before now. Suspect their sales are more about desperate book balancing than anything else.
Just for this season they had to generate £76million in players sales to cover their payments for previous player purchases before they could spend, similar for next season as well but not sure of figures so if they don’t go up it’s a case of selling their better players to balance their books

Just catching up from last night, not sure I’d be swapping KLD for Boros owner like but to say they haven’t achieved more than us this turn of the decade is ridiculous. Won a cup and played in the UEFA cup. I’d send us back down to L1 without hesitation if it meant winning a domestic cup and playing in Europe the season beforehand.
