Two potential midfields of Jobe Rigg Neil Browne Aleksic Samed are probably two of the best midfields in the league (on paper incase the other two flop) that’s ridiculous
Yeah they could do, was more going by the speakman comment about him immediately creating competition upfront. Also I think the echo said he’s gonna be straight into the first team environment. Which I imagine so due to the 3m fee paid
Just catching up on signings from other championship clubs and assessing their squads from yesterday’s games We’ve started great and there’s so many positives but I’d still take 6th place now, if offered I do worry when injuries and suspensions kick in, especially up top I’m happy with the window overall though, the Browne and Mepham signings show that some lessons have been learnt.
Who stands out to you? I can’t see past Leeds for winning the league personally. I still think Boro will be right up there.
I said Boro from the start. Backed them e/w, thought they were the best value on the championship market Leeds have a cracking squad - their bench yesterday was very strong Burnley have a great squad for this level and I think they’ll start picking wins up again when the dust settles from their tough transfer window West Brom have a strong first XI with loads of experience but not much in reserve Despite their horrible start, I do expect Luton to pick up and start being tougher to beat. They’ve got some cracking players for this level
Burnley n Leeds squads look very good, WBA, Boro and Sheff Utd have very good/solid starting 11s I think we will be up there, looks like we have cracking depth in CM, i like our options at CB and we have some dangerous wingers. Itll come down to which team(s) can stay injury free. If we dont suffer many injuries i honestly think we will be right up there. We need our young players to keep kicking on (which i think they will) and need the new signings to settle
I personally think Mayenda and Isidor makes me confident of our options up top. Mayenda is looking better every week and at the moment he’s getting plaudits from oppositions fans every week too. His shirt to lose. He’s part of the reason our press has been so successful. Isidor looked very promising in his cameo and his attributes seem great for us, holding the ball up, good movement, good runs, good finishing etc also this Abdullahi from what I’ve seen he looks very Pacey and powerful, usually Gent produce some great talents so we might have found a gem, especially for the fee we have paid.
