Lokonga has been offered a 12 month extension, apparently he will still be sold this summer, but it should mean we get a better price.

We only signed him for like £17m, so I'd like to see us at least break even for if/when we sell him. Would be disappointing if we can't. From what I've read, he did OK at Sevilla, but got injured a few times and Sevilla just about avoided relegation, so not sure they have the funds/justification to sign him permanently.

Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Leroy Sane in 2025?? No thanks. I hope this isn't true and is just media BS. We've had 3 consecutive years of CL football now, I'm pretty sure we can do better than a 29-year old free agent who isn't the same player he used to be anymore. This isn't 2018.

If we sign Sesko, where exactly is Gyokeres going to go? Feel a bit sorry for him. Sesko can go anywhere but Gyokeres needs a move now really at his age and I quite like him. Seems like a nice guy like Jorginho and Havertz. He better not do something unpleasant and move to Spurs now they’ve got CL.

Delap is also a very strange buy from Chelsea. He’s not better than Jackson. And they could have had Sesko/Gyokeres (whichever we don’t get) or Osimhen. Very odd when there are three other better strikers on the move this summer.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Gyokeres go to any of Spurs, Barcelona or Chelsea. Reports are Chelsea are still looking for another striker even after they sign Delap (Nkunku leaving, Jackson possibly could be sold too). Spurs clearly need another focal point CF, so that could be on the cards, especially with CL football. And Barcelona need a replacement for Lewandowski, who is getting on a bit now.

As for Delap, I think he's a really good player and I've been impressed when I've watched him. I think he's better than Jackson personally. He's better technically, can hold the ball up under pressure, win fouls, runs the channels, carries the ball well, has quite nimble feet for a big guy and is a good focal point for a team who whips in loads of crosses (there was a stat that said Pedro Neto put in the most crosses into the box in the league or something like that).

Actually, I just realised Gyokeres may go to Liverpool too. Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz both up for sale for Liverpool this Summer, Gyokeres could be the replacement.

Marquinhos left Arsenal on a permanent deal now. Apparently the fee is around £3m according to other sources in Brazil.

Maybe - but Slot does seem to prefer more the false 9 type.

Yeah on one hand I want us to sign Gyokeres - nice guy, works hard, absolute goal machine and may be in a better position to deliver straight way.

Sesko though has soo much potential his ceiling is insane. The guy is 6'5 - leaps like a basketball player, insane pace and scores spectacular goals. But not yet hit the top level when it comes to goals/assists.

Arsenal publish the list of players at all levels who will be leaving the club this Summer, and also the 3 players we are in negotiations with for extending their deals.

    From the men's first-team, it's Thomas Partey.
    From the women's first-team, it's Chloe Kelly.
From the U21s, it's Michal Rosiak.

Don't know much about this Greek youngster, but that's a lot of money for a 17-year old. Also, what would this mean for Nwaneri and Bowman?

    Can’t really argue with that for a £5m backup keeper I suppose…

It would really be nice if we had a window where we didn't sign Chelsea's cast-offs. Getting a bit sick of it now.

Gabriel extends his deal at Arsenal.

Reportedly until 2029 with an option for a further year.

    https://www.arsenal.com/news/gabriel-signs-new-arsenal-contract

This is good news. He and Saliba have been the backbone of what's been a solid defensive platform for us. He's become a real leader at the back and has performed at such a high level. I know he's been tempted by offers from Saudi the last couple years, but I'm delighted he's chosen to stay with us.

Superb player and character. I really hope we can win things with him at the club. He deserves it.
