Sky reporting that ABK has been given permission to have a medical with Hoffenheim tomorrow, deal agreed at €15m
Presumably with a decent sell on clause included. Anyway, good to get some money in and his wages and attitude gone.
Nice. Probably the player we most needed to leave (in that it doesn't seem he's ever going to be used) and if that fee is accurate I think we may actually have made a profit on him.
Could Southampton please sign someone who will play for Southampton? Radical, I know but maybe it will catch on. Other teams seem to do it.
Pretty easy to explain “we think player x has potential but not ready to play for Saints yet. All clubs play similar way so send to one of our partner clubs to gain experience and let them develop” Whether that is actually true or whether it’s just easier to let the PL club pay for transfers for the smaller teams remains to be seen. Lis was a free transfer but not sure who has been paying his wages
The Japanese kid looks ace, but neither of the Brazilians appear to be that highly-rated. So it seems our budget is being stretched to sign players for two teams. It might only be a million quid, but that could come in handy on deadline day.
Think it is this but also that they are our player, and we can then charge an exorbitant loan fee, and recoup more money against PSR or whatever it is called.
