We’ll have a number of players joining that maybe haven’t had a pre season. Haven’t trained to Walter’s methods or standards. With the numbers talked about before Bristol, we’ll still be woefully under resourced.

Its mismanagement.
We have a chance to start well with the early season fixtures.
I am happy with yesterday signing but we need another 12 by the end of August and at least 6 of them by the end of next week to give Walter time with them before Bristol City.
I won’t hold my breath.

And if we don't have a pile of injuries come November absolutely nobody is going to hold their hands up and say - 'Alright, I maybe overreacted back in the summer'.

Absolutely pointless getting wound up about hypotheticals at this point. Everyone is aware we need players in, and the sooner the better, but this whole time we've all been aware that they'll take the necessary time to bring the right players in. This is better than rushing out and getting anyone in.

If we bring in players who are currently having a pre season elsewhere then the potential injuries issue is redundant. Getting up to speed with the tactics is the only legitimate concern in those instances, and that's a valid criticism - but bear in mind some of them could also pick it up quickly as well.

Until we actually see negative effects on the field, and I mean once the season has started and then when the window has closed, it would be prudent to withhold judgement.

I totally get being patient in a lot of the transfer business to ensure we don’t rush and sign another Woods, Sinik etc.

Without knowing I would hope we haven’t missed out on the right deal by being overtly patient when we could’ve got a bit more over the line.

My main gripe alongside the lack of incomings is just the sheer state the squad is currently in. But I’ve made my point before on here.

If start well I imagine a rabbit will have been pulled out the hat somewhere.

Tbh I think it's blatantly obvious we need more, but it aint Tesco (other supermarkets are available), through previous dealings we've fkd ourselves royally, so they need to get this right, and Tim sounds like he aint gonna accept any old shyte, good on him. But my fear is, if they don't start getting the ball rolling the manager they chased is gonna think fk it, and walk.

That team is in a relegation battle, add to that no options off the bench and it really does look bleak. I think a winger and CB are essential to start the season with
There are 3 players in that team who were deemed not good enough last season and were sent out on loan, agree that team is in a relegation battle.

Tim Walter
Yes, (some of the youngster are not quite at the level) that’s what we saw and for everybody who is here or on TV. They saw that we need more numbers and that’s the point, because, yes, to step into the Championship and to secure our goals, that’s not possible with that squad at the moment.
We keep going because I’m the coach, I’m the gaffer, and it’s the only way I can do and the rest is up to the management

Patience Tim you bedwetter.

You can sense the frustration in that

With Tan being a 'football man' youd like to think he knows the importance of getting players in early enough for Tim to gel them into a team, so I can only think the list they're looking at isn't acceptable or funds are tighter then we know

Maybe he’s not seen the plan?? That our resident expert knows

The plan should be judged when it reveals itself. And has had time to mature.

But even then he has to gel them into a team it's not ideal for sure
Shades of Nigel Pearson's opening season...John Bostock, James Harper etc..etc...Iffy home win vs Swansea, then a hammering at Millwall. Could be a difficult start on the cards, then a kind of recovery round Christmas, then a half hearted attempt at the playoffs, but of course far too early to predict.

Walter starting to sound a bit more agitated
Agitated, I feel under the circumstances he should be feeling really pissed off with it all.
