Only on the basis that anyone else would be a big surprise!Expecting Delap! What do you know that we don’t!?
Especially with the parameters being “premier league based”
Because how many strikers at premier league clubs are available? About 7 clubs want to bring one in so there isn’t exactly a surplus of them. Your looking at Ihenacho and Maupay who I think are available. Or younger ones at bigger clubs like Broja and Delap
Maybe he could displace de Gea?!
It’s an important aspect of any potential signing, though we very rarely talk about it.
Not a fantastic source. Apparently he can play any of the advanced midfield positions - and we are looking for players in those roles apparently (as well as a striker)
Just the one year left on his deal so shouldn’t be too expensive. Similar to that city youngster that was supposed to be going to leverkusen but hasn’t gone anywhere yet

He seems to have played the whole of Villareal’s first game yesterday and scored. So I assume the “situation” is that they want to extend his contract but will potentially sell if that doesn’t happen?

He’s certainly no DCL replacement / cover from watching a few videos of him. He is runs with the ball at his feet from deep quite a lot. Not exactly a target man
I thought Everton were still restricted on money? Especially having spent a record on that new midfielder. But maybe such a large sale gave them more wiggle room than you would expect

He was the number 18 in our recent friendly. Assisted the first goal with that strong run down the left flank. From what I have seen of ABK so far, that’s no small task to out pace him.
Probably a non runner with the reported release clause, but looks a great prospect all the same.
It is hard to imagine having to get anywhere close to that release clause given he has one year left on his contract. Assuming he isn’t signing a new one - and if he does that clause goes up anyway
Transfermarkt have him valued at 900k. It’s hard to imagine even half of that release clause on that basis even if they don’t want to sell
Don't Spanish clubs insert stupid release clauses into a player's contract? For example, Pedri's is 1bn Euros! Obviously that is never, ever going to be met but there must be a reason why these clauses which are miles, miles higher than what the player is worth are included in contracts.

It is because they legally have to have them. So for cases where they really don’t want them activated they make them absurd. Even more so in Barca’s case after PSG actually paid Neymar’s
You’d like to think so. Especially after getting zero minutes in city’s easiest home game of the season even after the game was safe. I expect he will be moving somewhere - loan most likely - it is just a matter of where
It is Spanish law to have them in, every contract has to have a get out clause for the player
