Also Ten Hag wants a goalkeeper with better distribution. Or at least I thought he did. As do many clubs now

Couldn't disagree more with the sentiment here.

Perraud, Tino, Salisu, Romeu, Armstrong and even Che are certainly not 'average at best'. That's hyperbolic to an insane level imo.

My point was Alex claiming to be ITK when it was reported…..he’s obviously just jumped on the bandwagon.
But IMO you are correct, doesn’t make sense for him to go there……unless of course a keeper is leaving Utd.

Apologies. The same conversation is taking place on multiple threads. Of course I’m exaggerating somewhat, but…

Tino obviously has worked out and isn’t being sold because also, he’s missing a knee. Salisu obviously not either. RP I’ve said before is a player I really like and he’s only been here a year. I accept Armstrong and Romeu but even that’s a push if there’s injury concerns on the former and age limitations on the latter.

The fact remains that there is a significant number of senior players which the club would happily replace if they were able to. I hope that the club are able to make moves happen for h by deadline day. We have too many players.

Not in my book. There’s probably a lot of teams that haven’t had offers for any of their players. Who have Villa been approached for? Or Spurs? Or Forest?

(Completely randomly chose those three btw, as I don’t actually know! Feel free to make me look silly)

For every actual concrete offer to buy a player, there are probably 40 or 50 rumors. So while it feels like a load of offers are being made, there probably really aren’t that many, relatively speaking.

Could mean one who has played in the premier league or on the books of a PL club (like Delap)

I’d expect it is the latter as I can’t imagine there are many PL strikers actually available for sale who are worth buying? It seems like nearly half the league want to sign one - Us, Leeds, Everton, Newcastle, Wolves, Forest / Brighton, Man United
 
I wonder if the plan is loan Delap? City have now loaned out Kabore and McAtee who would have been players from them that we would have liked but only realistically been able to loan

It seemed like maybe we were keeping that City loan slot open AND also trying to get Delap on a permanent - which seems unlikely

He didn’t get on the pitch for their easiest game of the season which they were strolling and with 5 subs available

I wonder how “close”. Doubt there will be an announcement on a Sunday. So hopefully early next week?
