Who is Saint Lard?
And in 3 years, when his contract at Chelsea is coming to an end, he will be able to go wherever he wants (providing he is any good), just like Tino. He's playing the system, and yeah, can't blame him. Chelsea are taking a risk, knowing full well that they could be shelling out a lot in wages for a player who might never actually make the grade.
I still think buying lots of young players elsewhere reduces the pathway a bit and that young players will be aware of that too.
You might have missed the original point. I wasn’t suggesting to keep Tyler. It was if we could have used him to better our position for Colwill; if we indeed are even interested.Of course we can dangle carrots but we're not Chelsea. That's the deciding factor in this. The guy will probably end up on loan at Vittese. As much as we're famed for giving youngsters a chance we're not in the big 6!

Pretty much this. Perhaps the implication is that we could have tried to push him towards Chelsea rather than Newcastle in exchange. But that is all in the realm of “gentleman’s agreement” and also (it would seem) wasn’t necessary anywayI just don’t see how we could have used him in the deal for Colwill? We have no say on who Dibling can or can’t talk to so Chelsea could just chat to him anyway regardless of Colwill
Read back if you want. Actually don’t. It’s all good & what will be will be. It’s all black & white. UTS.I just don’t see how we could have used him in the deal for Colwill? We have no say on who Dibling can or can’t talk to so Chelsea could just chat to him anyway regardless of Colwill
Agreed, far too much at that price. I know he is only young but a goal conversion of 1:4 and adds little in general open play/assists etcYou must log in or register to see images
£25m with £5m payments. I’d imagine that there’s sell ons too. I actually think he’s too much at that price, though I get why. If de Ketelaere is going for the same ballpark figure then I think he’s much more of a sure thing.

Yeah - there are some pretty outlandish claims flying about suggesting even at that price we would definitely make money on him in a few years time. That is far from guaranteed. There still aren’t a high number of players moving for fees north of 30m. And still only a small amount of clubs that will pay itThink he has to improve considerably to warrant that amount
I must have been watching a different Armando Broja from everyone else, because I swear he was f*cking brilliant. And he's just 20. Scoring more goals than even Alan Shearer was at that age.
Except that is not what people are saying. They are saying they don’t think he is worth the 30m being suggested. And it might be higher as chelsea as saying they don’t want to sell and it is only a first bidHe’s not coming now so he’s ****, but Harry Winks is ace
That’s sad. I hope we have our sights set on a decent alternative if we’re happy to miss out on Broja. You must log in or register to see images
