Sheldon says we’ll insist on Glover working his notice. Indicates that we’re happy with the plan that the recruitment team have for the summer. I know someone on here said that’s pointless but someone that high on our recruitment team will have been working to build relationships with agents and players already (everyone taps up, after all). Interested to see his replacement come in. They have the summer to find one.

We likely already have identified targets and opened negotiations, the last thing we need is Leicester coming in and gazumping us. Seems the sensible move from us.

So what are actual hopes and aspirations from this summers Transfer business then?

Should we expect Alot of outs or ins, perhaps a major rebuild is needed?

What do you think should be done?

The business ends of the pitch, goalkeeper & striker are the big priorities for me. I don’t think I can face another season with McCarthy as number 1 and I don’t see Armstrong cutting it upfront.

Then a number 10, ideally a decent ball carrier with pace who can at least draw some fouls for JWP.

finally a centre back, if we can sell bednarek to finance it. Someone with a bit of leadership and organization a la Fonte

Other notable outs, Forster, Redmond, Walcott, Djenepo, Long.

still fewer ins than outs to trim the squad and wage bill, so I think it’s very much achievable

Any player that can play in multiple positions, needs to stay. Redmond can play on the left, right, behind, behind the striker, or as striker himself. Daft to sell him in my opinion. Additionally I don't think he is the type to cause a problem if he isn't starting. Seems content, like Jack Stephens, to play half or less than half the games, and always puts in a committed performance.

I did worry a bit that he might be a problem, as he was apparently a bit moody about not being in first team contention at Everton. Kid needs to chill a bit (or go out on loan).
He probably should have kept fit over the summer or trained with Everton then (assuming they would have let him)

When you are 17 and rock up with no pre season under your belt and expect to get premier league minutes someone needs to have a word and give you a bit of a shake. You’d have to be only level of Rooney or Ronaldo at that age to get away with that. And play in an attacking position as well I expect

Depends what he was told when signing as well. Remember he was highly thought of and said he left to get more playing time
