According to creepy Cawley. Josh Magennis and Ezri Konsa are free to leave. Turn the lights out.

 

Ezri & Big Mag were both probably promised a transfer this summer if we failed to get into the Championship.... you can't keep players who do not want to be here.

 

True,and it also could have something to do with how much Magennis is paid. There are so many players with only one year left of their contracts that there is going to be a bit of churn.

 

Konsa has signed for Brentford on a permanent transfer. FFS Brentford. I remember when we were a much better bet than Brentford. What a joke Club. **** off Roland.

WTF is going on?? Brighton I could understand, some of the bigger clubs in the championship I could understand but Brentford for god sake

I remember when they couldn't afford a transfer fee for Michael Turner so Curbs gave him to them on a free with a large sell on clause …. when they sold him to 'Ull they said they couldn't afford to pay us the sell on fee!! Tin pot club.

 

Konsa might have realised Brentford is the kind of Championship Club where he stands a decent chance of playing regular first team football.
Contrary to some opinions already expressed, I personally don't think Brentford are a bad team. They finished 9th last season, six points below the play-off places and just two points behind Millwall.

 

My mate at work (who is a Toffee) literally pi55ed himself when I told him who we sold Konsa to!

 

They must have come in with the right bid. Colin reckons 3.5 M.

 

I can't figure out why we seem to have so little respect for Brentford FC. What's the matter with them?

Charlton are hardly in a position to look down on teams like Brentford from where we find ourselves at the moment.
A 9th place finish in the Championship for a Club of that size is pretty solid form in my opinion.
Something we should be looking up to.

 

Red Henry says the fee is 2.5M plus add ons.

 

It's a sign of how far down we've come that our most saleable player sees a better future at Brentford. It would have been unthinkable pre-Roland.

To be fair Fatokele wasn't bad until he was treated like a pit pony and knackered!
