    Sulzeer Jeremiah Campbell

Newcastle have finally dumped Sol Campbell after the defender cost them a staggering £3,940 for each MINUTE of Premier League action.

Couldn't believe my ears when I heard at the pre season friendly at Carlisle that we'd signed him. What on earth were the powers that be thinking at the time?

A good defender in his day but well past it by then, too big ( huge/massive, are better terms to use ), far too slow and completely out of his depth.

Was there anybody that thought he was a good signing?

I hate to say it but i felt and still feel he may have been a good signing!
The money we paid however is staggering, but under chris hughton i think he was probably a great influence for both the youngsters and our defence as a whole as he has great experience. But as soon as Chris was gone he just had a sulk.
However, 40k a week was far too much!

    Oh dear...

Will never forget his performance at Stoke , it was like he tried to let them score.

    This.

I thought he was a decent coup at the time, an experienced back up defender in a young squad in our first season back.

At the time he was probably a good signing, but his attitude was **** after Hughton left and Williamson was in surprisingly good form first half of the season. Had he made the effort over the summer to keep himself in shape he'd have probably been first choice with Coloccini initially and it could have worked out differently

Oh God. That one that came off the back of his head, sending him into a 360 trying to find the ball. I'll never forget that.

Blimey. I don't get out of bed for less than the promise of a piece of toast, coffee and someone telling me the shower is free!

    Only on Thursdays.

On Fridays we all collate outside the local chip shop and swear at people.
