I don't know about you guys but I was very happy with the news that Hogan Ephraim was on his way back to Qpr after his loan move.

When he left to join up with Nelson in Toronto I thought his days at rangers were finally numbered.

I, like most, was surprised when with all the money and players floating about under Mark Hughes, that Ephraim was offered a new deal. Did Mark see something in him? or was it for in the unlikely event of relegation? Going by the players we offloaded it didn't seem to be the latter. Players like Connoly, Gorkks, Smith and HH prove that wrong.

I'm glad there was some small amount of sense from MH in all his terrible management and signings of players.

I like Epraim and not just for his playing abilities, this guy (who came through the West Ham ranks) has shown two major qualities that only a few can say they have shown in recent years, desire and commitment. How many times has this young lad been farmed out on loan? How many times has he done well whilts on loan? Now tell me how many times has he moaned? I don't recall him ever saying he's annoyed at players on larger contracts or how he didn't get his shot in the prem, yet as soon as he's recalled back, he's ready to pull on the blue and white hoops and give it 100%.

There's a lot to be said for that. We need more of it this season and whilst I don't think he'll be an ever present, having a squad player with this attitude is vital to a successful campaign next year.

He was also one of the only people, to actually stand up to the perma-tanned, saggy arsed lunatic(and his little borrower friend Bernie). I always liked Hogan but remain unconvinced. Its been said before though, good squad player in C'ship.
