Suicide Watch - Gooners!

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Aug 16, 2012.

  1. I am very concerned for our friends on the other side of North London, since the departure of RVP to Manchester United. This morning, they will be waking up to some pretty dire headlines. Raylour Parlour (ex-Gooner legend) had this to say:-

"Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes the sale of Robin van Persie, 29, shows Arsenal can no longer compete with the biggest clubs." (Source: talkSPORT)

Even the BBC is getting in on the wum act:-

"Robin van Persie could score the goals that will win Manchester United the Premier League title, according to ex-Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp. And Reds' midfielder Michael Carrick hopes the club can repeat the treble-winning feat of 1999 with Van Persie." (Source: BBC Football site)

Rubbing salt into an already festering wound, the BBC added: "Van Persie scored 44 goals in 57 games for club and country last season, including two against United."

This is not something that PESKIE, gunner.b.allwrong, and Arsenal47 (or whatever that arsehole's name is) are going to want to hear over their cornflakes, this morning.

And then, in a move that really puts the boot in, the BBC turned to ex-Spurs manager, Harold Redknapp, for his thoughts on the move:-

Redknapp predicted success for Van Persie - who joined Arsenal as a 20-year-old in 2004 for £2.75m - at Old Trafford, and sounded an ominous warning to other Premier League sides.
"If he performs like he did last year then him and Rooney will just be an incredible partnership," Redknapp said.

And, finally, to further take the piss, Graham Taylor (once dubbed "Turnip Head" for his love of vegetables), said:-

"Now they've signed him I'm confident they can go on and win the title."

Many Gooners were already in deep denial, with some even suggesting that RVP would do a U-turn and admit to his followers that he had been wrong, and beg to be brought back into the fold; but it was not to be. Arguably the greatest player ever to have pulled on an Arsenal shirt, RVP had decided that he had served more than enough time with the club, and that it was time to move on and try to win some trophies, while he still had a chance.

My concern, now, is for our Gooner kin. Self-harming and severe mental trauma cannot be ruled out. I think it is incumbent on us to do what we can to help them through this tragic period of time in their history. So, if you know a Gooner, just keep a careful eye on him. Is the milk piling up on the doorstep? When you peep through their letterbox, does it look like the mail is being taken off the doormat? That sort of thing.

And as for PESKIE and his mates, let's go easy on him, eh, lads? Show some respect. We are, after all, charitable people.

Piers Morgan said that he'd kill himself if the transfer happened, via Twitter. :emoticon-0158-time:

I will continue to take every opportunity to ridicule all Arsenal fans known personally to me. I have always been suspicious of the motives of charity so wont be going there.

The failure of Arsenal and their board of parasites will be a source of amusement I will enjoy. <ok>

  7. Spurf, I hear what you are saying, and I truly understand your position.

Me, I'll be praying for PESKIE and the boys.

Has Van Persie made the right move though,I'm not sure that he has considering the big money flops between English clubs last season?

  10. I've just suggested to the Chelsea boys that we hold a special candle-lit prayer vigil for the Gooners.

    Anyone got any candles?

Van Persie and Rooney looks like a very dangerous pairing, on paper.

Is there an address for donations, so we can ensure it happens? Can't have Morgan surviving over (to quote Ashley Cole) a poxy £50k a week.

The gooners will get over it. Bit of damaged pride but thats all. Personally I think they have done rather well, flogging a 29 year old for 24 million. Interesting though, old bacon face signing a 29 year old. Must mean that he is not planning on staying around for too long. Planning on going out on a high....I also think we have done rather well flogging Modric but hey ho, only time will tell.

I don't care if Rooney's overrated if he repeats 27 league goals for us again...

If he repeats 11 league goals for you again, on the other hand...

Late last night was my first visit to the Goon board for several months, just to enqiure about the fragile mind of Piskie on Drogs thread. I merely asked his whereabouts and hoped he wasn't tying his own noose. Lo and behold this morning...gone, deleted. Pathetic ****ers. <cry>
