Me Me ME!! Right serious stuff this ... Not so long ago there was this quick burst of activity from the club. One of the things mentioned was a bar/facility/shack/fridge outside the Eastend. The club were looking into it. Now? Dunno! The clubs website is as good as the atmosphere from the local natives saturday, but there could be a list of projects on the site, current status and outcome e.g 1/ Eastend natchcorner - Now brown bread 2/ Ashton Gate re-devolopment consultation pow wow WE HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THE MADE IN HONGKONG BOWL OVER THE SEVERN starts Feb [??] That sort of sketch.
My number one request will be better and more exits from the Dolman stand. If we don't all have to queue down the stairs to get out I am sure people will stay till the end of the game. Some decent supporters bars around the place with REASONABLE PRICED DRINKS TOO!!!
how about letting non season ticket holders into the DEH for the rest of the season for a cuppa/Pint and some banter................
My suggestion concerns something that could be done in the programme next season: A charity football bet in the programme for each home game. A different player from the squad predicts the result of 3 football games that weekend/night - a bet of £10 (treble) is placed on these results, and any returns are donated to charity. In the programme article the player could say why he predicted that outcome. The charity could be one nominated by the player that week, or accumulate so that 1 or 2 charities get the total at the end of the season - maybe the fans could vote on what the charity could be. 24 home league games - would cost the club £240. Might be able to persuade the player to match the bet. Might be able to persuade a bookmaker to sponsor it as well.
Getting the premier seating people back in their seats by the end of halftime not upto 15 minutes after blocking peoples view
I would imagine premier seating would be installed on one level in the new Williams stand! they will only get in each others view then!
Close in the gaping holes between the Atyeo and Dolman, and Atyeo and Williams Stands and try and keep the noise inside the ground. Remove the roof of the Atyeo stand as it's totally at the wrong angle the way it slopes up. The reason that the atmosphere in the East End is so much better than anywhere else (IMHO) in the stadium is due to the design of the roof there. Yes it looks old fashioned and I'm not suggesting it gets copied, but it works !!
I would go along with the exits in the Dolman, people leaving early results in me not getting to see the last 5 minutes of the game due to people in the way. Not shutting the gates would be a bonus as they create a blockage and people walking away slowly. If these gates were just left open people can carry on walking out rather than trying to get out through the 2 exits on either side.
David Lloyd Hi Dave, here are some responses from or first suggestion box on Not606, I've copied them so you can read them as our fans have put them up... Hope they create interest and we hear from you in due course.. wizered... ................................................................ All the above have been e-mailed to David L with the attached message...
Crystal Palace style cheerleaders and decent half time entertainment. Bring back the games like where they had to kick a ball into an inflateable glass. Even do something like stick the academy keeper in goal at half time and have a handful of kids have a few penalties each as sure scoring a goal would be more of a memory than waving a flag.
