Still in shock from last night. Can't believe the strong position we have put ourselves in!

With our goal difference we are effectively two games clear of Reading and West Ham with only eight games left which is just huge, patricularly as they have to play each other.

Nigel and the whole squad have been simply brilliant. This we should remember is mostly the side that in December 2010 were only in a play off position in League 1!

We should all enjoy this ride, whether its a bus, boat or plane. It's a great time to be a Saint!

Indeed. Blue line, then start the preparation for Donny, must not take them for granted.

This is why Nige is soo successful. It would be easy to get overexcited by last night and some players may start to get carried away no chance with nige in controll though all he is thinking about is donny.

    The table before last night:

    Saints Pld 37 Pts 72
    Reading Pld 37 Pts 70
    --------------------- <---blue line ;)
West Ham Pld 36 Pts 67

How I expected it to look bearing in mind we were playing a good Hull team, Middlesboro well out of form and Reading flying against a leaky defence:
Saints Pld 38 Pts 73 (draw)
Reading Pld 38 Pts 73 (win)
    ---------------------
West Ham Pld 37 Pts 70 (win)

    And the actual table
Saints Pld 38 Pts 75 (win)
Reading Pld 38 Pts 70 (lose)
    ---------------------
West Ham. Pld 37 Pts 68 (draw)

I would guess Adkins would have expected similar to my expectation so both Adkins + all Saints fans and I should be delirious this morning.

I agree not to take Donny for granted. If anything Bristol City should be in the back of our minds. This time however i think the players won't get complacent like i think they did against Bristol. The finish line is in sight and the players are all running towards it arms linked as one strong unit. Anything in their way will be knocked down. Glad we have these players who all seem level headed, genuine nice guys who really want promotion. Feels good to be a Saints fan at the moment!

Were you at the game last night French Tickler? If so, what would be your honest assessment - did we deserve the win or were we a little bit lucky?

We have given ourselves a great chance following yesterday's results. But we must now make sure we collect the three points at home to Doncaster. We can't afford to do what we did after the great result away at Leeds and follow it up with a disappointing home draw (Ipswich). If we can win the game it will take the pressure off slightly for the away match at Blackpool, knowing that West Ham and Reading will be playing each other and points will be dropped.

Yes i was. I am home and away not just a glory boy. But yes Saints just about deserved to win the game. You should have been 4-0 up within 20 mins but at 1-0 Brady missed a sitter for us and if that goes in its 1-1 and who knows. But whats impressed me most about the Saints is that the last 3 away games TWS, Millwall and us you could have lost all 3 but won them all. Especially TWS and Millwall. Thats promotion form. Your better than both Reading and West Ham qwho have the wobbles at the wrong time. Good luck in the PL and hope we can join you.
The players that make Saints tick most are Lallana - Hoisveld and Scheiderlin. Very impressive for this league.
Looking at some of the dross already in the PL you wont need much to stay up next season. Plenty of bargains when the fire sales start in the summer. All the best.
