This is the first time this season that I have looked at the subs our manager (whether it be AVB or RDM) has made and thought; great decisions.

Firstly I was a bit confused why Sturridge came off, but Daniel always has the nack of leaving his marker and not chasing back down the wing to make a tackle. I though when Torres came on in his place he worked well, chased everything down which he would've been told too. Great sub.

Then Mata coming off for Malouda, like the rest of you were probably thinking 'Oh god not Malouda'. But we needed that little bit of pace on the left, Cole was tiring out and Mata doesn't have the speed to keep up with that Napoli winger, great sub, Malouda played well.

Then last of all JT, obviously injured, as a manager I would've thought "Cahill on lets go". But RDM could see that Ivanovic was knackered, we were getting played down the right and it was looking dangerous. Bring on Bosingwa (again im not a fan) but he is there for pace, to get up and down the pitch when needed, then slot Ivan in the middle.

Unbelievable result, my voice has gone today, I couldn't sleep last night and for once listened to talksport all the way to work without switching over once!

    Agreed.

Feels good to be a CFC fan this morning and that's been rare this year!! For once were being talked about in a positive light.

Very good call. Both Malouda and Boswinga looked yards better than any other performance. maybe it was the occasion, the adrenalin, I hope so. Maybe it was simply that we were behind them and not slagging them off. That must make a difference.
Good calls from the manager, who I suspect knew the players would give for him, unlike AVB. He will come back to haunt us in the not too distant future.
