So Joey Barton thinks that clubs should subsidise the reduction in ticket prices?

There is a much simpler solution, Mr Barton.

A massive reduction in players wages from the current levels which give very average and ordinary footballers an annual gross income of more than £1 million per annum.

It is obscene that any footballer need never work again after just one season at this rate of pay.

I agree with you, but it's hardly his fault that the player wage market is ridiculous. Clubs are willing to pay it, that's the problem, and subsidising ticket prices is a much more realistic solution for fans.

You could also partially blame Sky for the ridiculous wages situation

Certainly at the big boys level, yes. The rest of the leagues are very poor relations indeed.

'You could also partially blame Sky for the ridiculous wages situation' - Partially ?

    'Money has ****ed the game'
If City, Preston and MK can't make a fist of the Championship what hope is there for Walsall or Burton next season.
14 in the Championship receive Sky Prem money - we haven't got a cat in hell's chance.
