Is Jose a genius or just lucky: it seems he can change games positively where Rafa made things worse last year. And is Mediocre Moyes just unlucky with his tactical changes thus far this season.
He did fine with Everton without any money! The wheels have come off at OT and the reason is a mystery!
What were Moyes' subs like at Everton? At United he has players to change a game... Like fergie used to
Ive never rated Moyes as a manager the guys won bugger all in 10+ years as a manager. his time at Everton is very overrated he never won a single major trophy. where as Laudrup 1 year in the job at Swansea 1 trophy. in one season Laudrup achieved more than Moyes has in the last 10 years hell Moyes hasnt ever won at a match against any of the old top 4 away from home.
I think that's a bit of a myth. They look a hell of a lot better now he's gone. Could be he was under achieving not over.
Moyes substitutions so far have been abysmal but then Fergie was never the best at this either. The difference at the moment is Fergie put out the right team from the start most of the time, Moyes does not yet.
rafas time at chavski really showed how great thier fans are moureen is just a good manager, poking eyes out aside. moyst is just ****e and will continue to make utd terrible.
The E and S are quite close as are the T and Y on a keyboard, please tell me this was a typo and he doesn`t really make you moist!
But Moyes did have money. Not very much albeit but he spent over £40m on Yakubu and Fellaini. Moyes thrived off being the underdog. He loved playing deep and counter-attacking football. At United you are expected to take the initiative and stamp your own authority on the game. You are also expected to buy top players, not also rans from the lower echelons of Premier League clubs. Fergie was an attacking manager, Moyes is a direct, defensive counter attacking manager. There are no similarities between Fergie and Moyes at all other than the fact they are both Glaswegian, people made the same mistake when comparing AVB to Mourinho. It's like giving a top 50 tennis player the best racquet in the world and asking him to go and beat top 5 tennis players. Difference being this isn't Space Jam, Like Mike etc. This is real life. There's a small, but growing number of people starting to rapidly realise how overrated Moyes was and is.
If he was that good he would not have been stuck at Everton for years.. UNless real, barca, etc all offered him a job when I was on holiday
No British manager is good enough to manage a top European club. They are good man-managers but lack the tactical nouse to compete at that level. Nigel Adkins, David Moyes and Brendan Rodgers are all good managers, but in a short space of time their successors have taken them on to even greater things. Pochettino is walking away with clean sheets at Anfield, solid draws at Old Trafford as well as wins last season against Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City. Laudrup took Swansea onto another level too as has Roberto Martinez at Everton. Moyes isn't a bad manager, but it's like giving a guy that works 9-5 in KFC and drives a Nissan Micra the keys to a Ferrari, they wouldn't know what to do with it.
