SUAREZ APPEAL VERDICT That Luis Suarez verdict is in: the Court of Arbitration for Sport has upheld his four-month playing ban upheld but cleared him to train. More as soon as we have it. Good, filthy animal
Well, I'm surprised, as a Barcelona player I expected to see him get a ****ing reward and a pair of 24ct gold boots.
I'm a bit disappointed about this to be honest, think it would have been funny watching all the Scousers play the victims again "It wouldn't have been reduced if he was playing for us".
Everyone I talked to about this said something similar. Happy it's upheld, wonder if they can wheel him out to the fans, or does the stadium ban still apply?
SunSport Now ‏@SunSportNow 2m Luis Suarez WILL be allowed to make his Barcelona debut against Club Leon in the Joan Gamper Trophy at the Nou Camp on Monday. #fcb hows this work like?
Blatter will be having words about this. Rumour has it Neymar's being allowed banned substances to aid his recovery from his spinal injury. Messi was given the human growth hormone for years in Barca's youth ranks to make him bigger. Suarez will probably get some form of dispensation no doubt, they'll find a loop hole on dental discrimination grounds.
Don't see how he can play even if it's non FIFA recognised, hasn't he got a stadium and training ban? It's one thing sending him off to 'train' and play in non-league or the arse-end of no-where but playing at the nou camp in any capacity sounds like it should be a violation. To be honest I don't see how the full ban can be upheld anyway...
It's FIFA ban, so it only applies to FIFA regulated competitions. EDIT: Saying that, are Barcelona a FIFA exclusive team (if that's even possible), and does this mean that EVERY game Barca play is a FIFA recognised game?
Anton Toloui @SkyAnton "According to FIFA's own rules - Official matches are "not including friendly and trial matches". So Suarez should be free to play on Monday"
