:emoticon-0150-hands First of all congratulations to Suarez for winning the Copa
America.Because he has not taken much rest since the end of last season he most
likely to miss some games in August.
Our games in August as follow:
    1.Sunderland -home
    2.Arsenal-away
    3.Bolton-home.
To me I would like Suarez to play Against Arsenal or at least on the bench.
Which of the games you think Suarez should miss.?<wah>

I take it the OP is worried that we may burn him out after the Copa, I suppose he may have a point. I would start every game with him but take him off when we can.

He hardly played between November and February with his biting ban, so I don't think he'll burn out really.

Agree with you, was just responding to the OP really. I think he'll be fit and ready to go.

I reckon he'll only miss the first one.Its only Sunderland and they aren't exactly managed by a good manager now are they? They are managed by Steve Bruce.

You cannot under-rate Sunderland, they beat Chelsea last year on their own ground.<ok>

Give him a fortnight off, bench against the Mackems and then play him, can have a break after his first half hat-tricks.
Play Ngog against Sunderland, hopefully he can score a couple, puts him in the shop window before the window closing and anybody desperate for a striker may fall for it in last minute desperation.

    I wouldn't play N'gog against a Sunday league team it's football suicide.

Bench him against Sunderland and he'll be hitting the ground running against the gooners. Anyone think Henderson will make his competitive debut against Sunderland?

Think Sunderland will probably be a Downing-----Carroll-----Kuyt top three. Not sure on the midfield, will want to see some who is moving and staying etc.

I reckon it could be something like this..if Gerrard is also out.
    Carroll
    Downing Kuyt

    Adam Henderson
    Lucas.

    Aurelio Agger Carra Johnson
    Reina.

Hmm Henderson over Aqua/Meireles? Not sure on that one, think he will come off the bench. Also expect a top performance from Carroll and Downing considering it is against Geordie opposition, with both playing for the respective rival. Same with Hendo coming off the bench, buzzing to show his old team he means business.

What about the international friendlies 3 days before the season starts? Surely that will have an impact on our players/starting line up?

I reckon if Kenny goes with a midfield three,he'll go with a right footer and a leftie with Lucas playing in front of the back four.
So I reckon it would be either Adam or Mereiles on the left with Henderson playing on the right.

    Meireles is right footed.

I reckon we'll go for a traditional lineup.

Going on the basis that Gerrard and Suarez don't play (don't know the likelihood, but for arguments sake)

    --------------Reina--------------
--Kelly---Carra---Agger---Johnson (or Aurelio, or new LB)
    ---------Lucas---Adam-----------
    ------------Aquilani--------------
    -----Kuyt---Carroll----Downing----

I can see this happening to be honest.

I would feel VERY confident of a win with that line-up. Pretty much spot on with what I was thinking

If we buy another quality striker I can see us leaving him out.

I see it as the best option.
