"I've not only let him down, but also the Club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened. I think that Slur Alex and Evra should also issue an apology, Evra for his attempts at incitment and Fergie for his comments afterwards. Both of which were only going to throw more fuel on the fire. It would also be good to see Sky issue a statement that they made too much of of the handshake and the coverage was again only going to make things worse. Its irresponsible journalism
What a **** apology that is. He is only apologising for lying to a few officials in the club. No apology for us, the fans. No apology for tarnishing the reputation of the club. No apology to Evra (Yes, Evra deserves an apology as well). Disgrace of a man. I never thought I would actually hate a Liverpool player, but this guy is a parasite.

I don't see it that way, if he really wanted to make sure an apology was aimed towards us as well, he would have added three extra words into that 'and the fans'. Not hard is it? Again, no direct apology though, it just seems like a half hearted mention.
