    Notice how they carefully select the quotes to make it fit in with the impression they're trying to give that this is recent?

    Honestly, how many other professions can get away with being so openly deceitful?

    The Mirror story which also included quotes of Forlan "Spoke a few days ago" is now changed and doesnt say that


    They also quoted him saying "He asked me if I think he should stay at Liverpool." -
    "I know he loves Liverpool, the fans and the city, but I think the best thing for his career would be to move to OT" - again it now doesnt say that


    It might be naive of me but when it comes to quoting someone they cant put things there they havent said can they? I know they make stories up but I thought it was different when quoting

    Why would they put that then change it? Hits for their site?

    Interesting...
    Maybe someone has complained to the PCC, or maybe an editor on the Mirror has realised just how inaccurate this tosh is and wants to avoid repercussions.
    The similarity between the two original reports suggest it was some independent author who hawked it around and others printed it without checking it out.
    Who knows?

    They dont have any of those quotes

    When Mirror did theirs the next day my original reaction to "We spoke a few days ago - He asked me if I think he should stay at Liverpool" was ****, thats not good. I only go on quotes

    But not now its all completely removed from the Mirror!

    The other links Dribbs posted still says they "spoke a few days earlier" though


    It was all for a column Forlan writes in the 4 4 2 magazine
