Just as people were saying Suarez needs to come out and knock the transfer speculation on the head instead of letting in roll on all summer, right on cue: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27420777 Looks promising for you guys in terms of keeping him. The only way I see him going is if Real make a stupid offer (in the region of CR7 and Bale money).
Re-rail choo choo! So all he's said is that he's focused on the world cup and not really thinking about it now... perfectly understandable but who know what'll happen after, especially if he has a good one and doesn't do his hand of satan again.
I suppose. On reading it properly, now Gerrez has stopped taking the piss All he has said is that his contract has no clause letting him leave to a specific club. But I still cant see Pool letting him leave for any less than £70m +, that pretty much rules out everybody except Real who enjoy spanking the GDP equivalent of small countries on one player
Fair comment, I think if it turns out he is available a few clubs (including some we might not expect) will suddenly be producing bundles of cash. Tbh I can't be arsed to even think about it, a la repeat of last summer... what happens happens now.
I think any and all top four clubs could be interested, Arsenal can try but I think they've burnt their bridges... could see him going to City, know they've got about ten strikers already but they've got the cash and no reason for him not to go e.g. big fan/club rivalry. Actually, that's something that I think works in City's favour in the market... because they're very much a side gaining success in the modern era they only really have a rivalry with Utd, there aren't many players reluctant to go there. These things are less meaningful nowadays but still a factor.
I dont think Chelsea will go for him to be honest. FFP means we are tightening our purse strings and there are cheaper, if unproven, options. And plenty of reports are coming out stated we have all but sewn up the Diego Costa deal for around £30m and it will be announced after the CL final. I think the £70m tag will scare off Wenger if I am honest, he has never been one to spend big on one player (Ozil excepted, but even he was half the price that Suarez will be). Barca and Real are possibilities abroad, with Real being favourites for me of the two. In the UK its only really City, but they are facing their own FFP troubles and are facing some huge penalties, so not sure they would see this as the best time to spend so much on one player. For me its 50-50, 50% he will stay at Pool, 50% he goes to Real.
There is absolutely no need or incentive for him to go to another PL club. RM or no-one in my opinion.
if luis has a good world cup real may show interest, if he doesn't then i reckon he will give us one more season and hope real show interest next season. not a bad thing, yes in the sense we may lose him, but we know he will give his all any way ,and he wants to go there, just a question of when, not if for me, and if we can improve the squad with him in it, then all good for next season hopefully. next year is our year unless luis has a good world cup
Well the rumours are its £70mil for no premier league clubs and 100mil for premiership clubs so all he is saying is if any club matches the figures then Liverpool would have to consider selling.
Not saying he will, just that the interest from the clubs will be there. But I just don't know with Suarez, he's a confusing one.
I like the new word, it sounds like "diz meez" in my head and should be a real word, imo. On topic: I like to read stuff that quashes rumours that are often made up by journos (in a futile attempt to justify their existence), but I've no idea what goes on in Suarez's head and it wouldn't surprise me whatever he did. Well, maybe if he built a rocket and flew to Mars I might just raise an eyebrow.........
Mweh, there will be more twists and turns involving Suarez this summer than there was in the title race!
