Apparently it is today, but not sure on the time. I think it's an absolute disgrace that the hearing took place last Wednesday/Thursday, and it's taking three people until now to reach a decision. Suppose it's typical of the sweet FA. In my opinion, it's going one of two ways. They've found him guilty and they're trying to decide on the severity of the punishment, or there's no case, and they're trying to come away from this without a henhouse full of eggs on their faces.
You have to remember that this is a difficult and delicate situation as reptuations are on the line. The FA are right to take their time and come to the right verdict.
This is really dragging on now. Is there a time being reported on when they are expecting the decision. I wonder how much the pending John Terry case if effecting their decision ?
I've seen somewhere that it's "Tuesday at the earliest". There may will be a Terry link, as if Suarez is found guilty, Terry has no chance with the visual evidence against him. The police are also involved in his case.........................
The problem with all this is that it's always going to be an issue with so many grey areas. Suarez is always going to maintain that he never meant any racial offence and Evra is always going to say he felt they were racist slurs. The FA keep dragging this out I'm sure because they just can't afford to be seen to be soft on it especially as it's such a high profile case....but also they have to make sure they have a watertight case to screw him with (even though there obviously isn't anything watertight about it). I'll eat my hat if he doesn't get screwed simply because once Evra said he found whatever was said to be racially offensive then what choice do the FA really have?
This is driving me crazy. Would like to see this done and dusted with all threads and conversations about it to be non existent within a week because it's getting repetitive and boring.
This is quite an interesting piece by Tim Vickery on it all: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16262537.stm
Artist you beat me to it. From reading that, it seems that the book is going to be thrown at him hard to send a message and set a precedent that "kick racism out of football" is real. Although nothing will happen to JT.......
Surely if that’s the case then we can expect that John Terry be dealt in a similar manner? If not, the FA and others can't really have a go at us LFC fans when we play the double standards card? Esp. when the Police aren't involved in this case but are with regards to John Terry's incident?
Rumour has it; decision delayed possibly for a day due to one of the panel changing their verdict. If true hardly sounds like it will be a convincing statement either way! Think the lawyers will have fun with this one!
Rumour passed on by @LFCtransferspec from a journalist source so combine that it came from someone I don't follow, on twitter, heard from a journalist; it may be as true as me being left the playboy mansion in hefners will!
