please log in to view this image In the past I'd dare not post this because I'd worry about jinxing us but with Sturridge being so injury prone it really doesn't matter. I've noticed that he's looking very strong, he's put some weight and muscle on and it has slowed him down quite a lot but he just looks very strong. I'd say that Klopp has got him bulking up to use him as a central striker other than him doing as much running (yes he did run) that he used to do where he worked channels. I fully expect him to break down again but if he doesn't then he could be very good for us.
Do you know if he is part of Klopp's plan for new season?. We have many strikers now, I hope he is going stop being lazy.
I get your point luv and agree. He has always used the channels and that has been our downfall as he should be in the middle. One question though, what happens to firmino?
i'd noticed he had bulked up but to me it just made him seem a bit sluggish. Staying fit would be a big bonus though as Origi really has stalled in his progression.
Well if Sturridge was back to his best and playing up top, Firmino would play in an attacking central midfield, as suits him better... Especially if Coutinho is leaving.
I don't think he's going to be first choice but he'll play a big part in our season if he can stay fit. I thnk Klopp is trying to make him more robust so that he can take the knocks a bit better.
Klopp is also doing that, he's been bigging him up and publicly stating how fit he is and "ready for the next level". I get the feeling Klopp really wants to make him a big part of our season and rightly so imo, Firminio is our main man up top but we need backup and a fit Studge would be superb. It's hard to have any faith in him though after all the injury problems but it just seems different to me and he looks very strong.
"It's the best condition since I'm here," Klopp said of the striker. "OK, I came in October 2015 and Daniel, I think, was probably injured. Last preseason was after a tournament and a short break. "This year he has had a proper break and is in a good physical shape absolutely."
I think that's what he will start as. But wouldn't surprise me if you turned that list upside down to be honest.
He normally is lol. **** is only ever fit at start of season until he breaks a toe nail and wants to go out clubbing in London lol.
Solanke looks very good but his decision making isn't great, he's given the ball away quite a lot in pre-season. I think bring him in at the right times with the right people around him.
