Liverpool were linked with Sturridge today

Sturrdige not happy with sitting on the bench

I think Sturridge would be an ideal replacement if Ba was to leave what do you think?

Nah don't like Sturridge's attitude towards playing anywhere other than striker, also don't fancy Ben Arfa not being able to cut in all the time.

Sturridge would cost a bomb because he's English and highly rated. He's not got the right attitude to play in our team.

He'd cost around 15m at the least, no thanks.

No thanks. He is ****e as a wide man (good striker though) and is too much a big time charlie to fit in.

There's a reason he doesn't play as a striker at Chelsea, and they use Torres instead...

Well, to be fair, with Torres and Drogba in the squad, it would be tough for Sturridge to get games in the ST position.

There's no way I'd ever play Sturridge as a lone striker, he needs to be with another player up front, or in a 4-3-3.

He's not bad cutting in on his left from the right hand side.

If Ba did leave then of course I'd take Strurridge in the team - if nothing else it would at least create a bit of debate on this thread rather than everyone agreeing with each other that he's too much of a big time Charlie. ;) <ok>

Anyway, who exactly was big time Charlie and what did he do wrong?

Why the constand love-in over Daniel Sturridge? He really isn't as good as people think he is.

?? Which Sturridge have you been watching Tash? He is virtually anonymous when played wide. He himself hates it which won't help given his stroppy nature. The only time he has looked at home was his season at Bolton where he played as a lone front man or at the top of the attack with Elmander in behind. If you play 433 he has to be the central striker or you get what Chelsea do from him, very little. If you play two up top you need an unselfish striker like Elmander to let him be the superstar.
