http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3025002/title/sturridge-departs-for-liverpool Was excellent for us in the first part of the 10/11 season. The kid has potential but not good enough for this level IMO and not a team player. Wish him all the best even if it is at Liverpool though. Bizarre move for them though, not a Rodgers-esque signing.
Wish him well but he's already on about the club.... 'amazing fans we have here' blah blah blah... 'huge club with history' blah blah blah... Leave it out Danny! But we have sold him for £12mil and hopefully got Ba as a replacement for £7 mil... Good business.
if the Ba deal does through then this will have been one the best bits of business ive seen Chelsea do in a long time.
There was a time when I would have had Sturridge at Spurs, but he's gone off the boil a hell of a lot, and I don't think he could improve us now. We should be looking for bigger fish. As much as it galls me to say it, I think 'Pool is the best move he can make, at this point in his career, Everton or Newcastle perhaps being second and third best, respectively. He'll improve 'Pool's squad, and has Suarez to work with, in what could be a productive partnership. Plus, there is always the outside chance that 'Pool will spend more money to improve their squad, and thereby become in with an outside shout of top 5, in future seasons.
It's to massage the egos of the fans that still believe we're living in 1980s when Liverpool swept aside all before them.
No offence but what do you expect him to say, you can't expect him to say '' i'm joining a team that's playing in the europa league every week and i wouldn't wait to leave Chelsea''.
My god a decent post from you! Personally i'm happy with Daniel - think he'll do a job for us given a chance. It will be good business for Chelsea too with Ba in the equation.
They gonna come second now for sure as all the LFC fans that said they didnt want him are now singing his praises....All hail the Chelsea reserve Wonder how he'll get on with Suarez lol
I remember when he scored against us in the capital one cup a few months ago, he did that stupid celebration.
I make decent posts all the time, my friend. It's just that you're only around to read the few stupid ones.
Good luck to him , but not sorry to see him go. He's about a quarter as good as he thinks he is, and has a poor attitude. Maybe Brendan can get him up and running, none of our managers could. Pity , cause he's got something, unfortunately it's not common sense or maturity.
