http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/sturridge-sterling-injury-update Liverpool are hopeful Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling will be fit to face West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on Monday night, according to first-team coach Mike Marsh. The pair were forced to withdraw from international duty with the England senior and U21 sides respectively this week due to injuries. Sturridge sustained a thigh complaint against Manchester City on Sunday, while Sterling has been suffering from a dead leg. Marsh told Liverpoolfc.com: "They've both been in for treatment. "They were not available to play for England due to the injuries they've picked up. "Raheem's has been a bit more long standing - in old school terms, he's got a dead leg - and Daniel picked his up at the weekend, but with a bit of luck and treatment hopefully they'll both be available for Monday night."
It's always ridiculous to see the term "dead leg" in an injury report. Take it easy for 5 minutes and walk it off! Anyway, good news for Monday, Fortress Anfield 2013 starts... now.
dead leg. Funny the difference between professional and not. You get that playing with friends, you carry on.
There's an official website for this **** http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/sturridge-sterling-injury-update
Dead legs can be nasty injuries.About ten years ago I had one with bruising from the hip to the ankle! After five minutes I managed to carry on cos' the muscle was still warm, but woke up the next morning and couldn't move.It wasn't a foul either, just a 50/50 with a knee cap in the thigh.Ouch!!
convenient timing for an injury eh! Maybe Sturridge is trying to break Giggs record for pulling out of internationals injured.
