If Torres doesn't start tonight, there's going to be a lot of chatter about blowing £50m.Just like the Shevchenko business, this threatens to become a boring story. I imagine when Drogs came a cropper, Torres saw it as a chance to establish himself and now it looks like that wont happen. On the other hand Sturridge is beginning to look undroppable! Poor old AVB! Decisions!Decisions!
Yeh, AVB looked quite uncomfortable in the press conference yesterday on the torres subject! apparently torres has slated the aging chelsea midfield in a spanish interview to which AVB said the interview would be assessed by chelsea staff!! interesting to see what comes out of there! at the moment you woul dhave to play sturridge!! Torres form is really shocking! will he ever get out of this rut??
Going to be a interesting team tonight and i'm looking forward it considering avb has said his going to rest players for the man u game apparently terry and lampard. Ramires also banned so maybe Josh will finally get his chance. I think if it's true his resting some of the players it will look something like Cech-Ivanovic-Alex-Luiz-A.Cole,Josh,Meireles,Romeu/Mikel,Kalou ( unfortunately,Torres and Malouda ( Unfortunately) really wanted to see mata-torres-sturridge given a chance. O well were see, hopefully we can get a good win to give us some confidence for sunday and man u have a hard game away in portugual tomorrow!
That's a load of bollocks...what he effectively said was the style of play needed to quicken up to suit his style more.
Mata - Torres - Sturridge gets my vote, and I was even thinking he may have used that on Saturday at Sunderland. This whole thing is a bit of a joke really, Torres will come good but Roman needs to stop getting involved in transfers...let the manager shape the team and decide the personnel, and if it fails then he carries the can.
He's got to start Torres tonight. If he scores a couple of goals then his confidence is going to improve dramatically and he will be much more of an assets rather than the £50 million donkey he is at the moment. I think everyone agrees that Mata-Torres-Sturridge is our best line up.
Ess--That does look the best line up, but the pundits seem to think he'll play Malouda for Mata. AVB's choices may be dictated by our visit to OT next weekend.
THIS, I was listening to talk sport, and what he said was that we had older players that perferred to hold onto the ball longer before releasing it. Which is something we have all been complaining about for a while, that our attacks lacked pace. The way talksport was reporting it , it was as if he was slagging the team off to the ground, and old cancer boy baker was lapping it up the t**d!
A good formation for Torres would be --Torres--Mata--????-- -------Sturridge------- I don't know your team enough to know who would play on the right. Torres will play well as wide left in a narrow formation where he can work the channel and come through the middle if he wants to. He could also play on the other side giving you..... --Mata--Lampard--Torres-- ----------Sturridge----------
Not as a winger but in a more narrow formation. He Scored a lot of his goals at Liverpool working the channels and cutting in from wide areas, he is also good at taking players on in one to one situations. He does this a lot with Spain playing wider with Villa in the center.
Ignores him on the pitch, never plays him in, runs past him with the ball....it's almost like he's not there! Malouda and Drogba are big mates from when they played together at Guingamp in the french lower leagues, so I reckon there's a bit of that going on. All supposition, but if you watch a game with them in you'll notice it...Anelka is different gravy, plays superbly with Nando...
