Lots of sensible comments there, hes not going down the Joey "bitch on Twitter" Barton route, which shows he can act professional. Good job Beckford
Well who knows what goes on behind closed doors, but I´d have to agree he´s handled it well. NP has a prob with Mills & he ain´t playing any more so if JB plays on sat I guess there isn´t a prob after all, ?
I'm glad Becks has come out and cleared this up - he's not really a media friendly player but is was sensible for him to come out and speak about it. Hopefully we can move on as fans, he can restore his successful partnership with Nugent and him and Pearson really have made it up (if there even was anything to make up over) and it isn't just a load of media front. NP's the one who got him playing like we know he can in the first place and a Beckford in form is a very good striker. I guess the real acid test will be whether he makes the squad for Donny.
Right if thats the case then people should get off his back. Weather Nigel thinks he is right for the club next season is a different matter but Beckford has done the right thing in clearing it up
But Pearson was very aware of the free kick incident as he intimated to Stringer in his interview after the match. So I'd be amazed if Pearson didn't bring it up with Beckford. So something doesn't add up here...
Still at least youngy and stringer will be happy as Gallaghers back so we'll have his fantastic work rate and tackling skills to applaud
As mandy rice davies once said....well he would say that wouldn't he... It never ceases to amaze me how people are happy to be spoon fed anything.. I suggest people have more faith in their own eyes and the people who actually witnessed what went on... this is just spin....wait till the end of the season..
There may be a few boos if he does play when the lineups are announced, but really whats the point in booing players, they won't want to give 100%
Are you trying to suggest that Stringer gives his close personal friend Gallagher more praise than other players?
Agreed. Surely if he's in the team then it shows that nothing has happened/any issue has been resolved - therefore no need to boo him?
If Nige selects him on the bench or to start we cannot boo, we need to give all the lads 100% support.
Is there to be no way back for Beckford, Mills or anyone else that makes a mistake? Remember, SSL was only given a reprieve at the last minute because we had no defenders available. Just as well the Leicester fans were more forgiving of Nigel? Delusions of granduer and all that.......
No way back? He started today and played very well. Got a great reception from the fans and a good firm handshake and smiles with Nigel. I don't think it's really such a bad thing if Pearson wants to get rid of players who don't have the right attitude. We need to develop a team spirit here and we need players who have the right approach.
