It's the usual patronising, sycophantic speech you get from a player who's moved clubs. If he was starting for Chelsea there's no danger he'd be interested in going to Liverpool.

 

You cant fault Sturridge for wanting to better himself at a bigger club to be fair.

 

He's hardly likely to say "well I failed at the current league champions...and failed at the current European Champions so thought I'd come join this lot where, compared to downing, I'll look like a world beater!" is he?

 

I always said that Sturridge had coton wool for brains!

If Chelsea had started him more he would still be here he was forced to move really as it was clear Rafa like RDM before him had no plans for him.

 

He's been advised to feed them bull like that by the PR men in order to appease to Liverpool's mass glory hunting fanbase along with encourage them to continue spending their money on Liverpool merchandise, especially Sturridge shirts in this case. After all we should take what Liverpool players say with a pinch of salt, I mean they did let Messi go to West Ham.
