Former City coach joins until the end of the season Stuart Naylor has joined Bristol Rovers as goalkeeping coach until the end of the season. The former Bristol City coach, who had a career as a goalkeeper that spanned more than 20 years, will take up a full time role at the club. Naylor, 50, began coaching at the end of his playing career at Rushden and Diamonds, moving to Oldham Athletic, before joining Bristol City in 2005. Manager John Ward said: "Stuart is local and has joined us full time until the end of the season, which will be a huge benefit to our goalkeepers." Oh how exciting
He was on the field before the last home match, and was also around midweek for the Yate Town match. City fans speak highly of him as a coach.
I seem to remember Len Bond went from City to Shrewsbury. In his first match for the Shrews at Eastville Rovers thumped seven past him.
